"The selected candidate will be a part of the Consumer Software Engineering, Development Operations team. The selected candidate will work closely with the engineering, production, devops, and operations teams to ensure that our software can be effortlessly tested on demand.
Teams you support will cross various Client consumer products including, but not limited to, SportsCenter, Client Fantasy Football
Responsibilities:
• Work with the global delivery teams across Client and The Walt Disney Company
• Help design and implement a modern testing automations infrastructure for one of the most trafficked sites in the world
• Solve problems like how to effectively measure and track the quality of changes through various stages in the development pipeline.
• Drive some very cool innovation at one of the most visited websites and consumer devices platform on the Internet
• Develop and execute quickly on multiple testing layers (functional, validation, performance, unit) within a modern agile workflow that will allow client to remain an industry leader.
• Manage an external team to execute a cohesive test automation strategy across all Client consumer products.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Must have mobile and web experience
• 3+ years of experience with QA engineering
• 3+ years of experience with Selenium
• Fluent in two or more of Java, Groovy, Scala, _javascript_, Ruby, or Python.
• Experience with full-stack programming, including code, database, front-end, hardware and networks.
• Experience with git or other DVCSs
• Proficiency working in a Unix/Linux based environment
• Excellent problem solving skills and willingness to exercise them on a daily basis
• Top-notch analytical abilities coupled with a bias to action, and sense of urgency and ownership
• Self-directed and collaborative.
• Able to properly prioritize personal backlog without constant management oversight.
• Able to take direction and input.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with SauceLabs
• Experience with Appium
• Experience with full-stack programming, including code, database, front-end, hardware and networks.
• Experience with Maven, Ant/Ivy, Gradle or a similar build automation tool
• Experience with Chef, Puppet, or other "infrastructure as code" tools and systems
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) cloud offerings like Amazon EC2, Rackspace Cloud, or private offerings like Metacloud
• Experience with Vagrant
• Experience with Docker
