- Application DBA closely with development team and database administrators sharing knowledge and information
The ideal candidate will:
• Apply database management consulting skills and gathers user requirements, design solution and implementing database solution required by the application
• Creating schema objects and implementing rules for data integrity
• Writing server-side PL/SQL Stored Procedures, views, materialized views and Complex SQL queries.
• Creating the application interface with the chosen development tool
• Writing Shell Scripts in Unix/Linux environment.
• Instantiating applications in different databases for development, testing, pre-prod, and deployment in a production environment
• Design logical and physical data model using standard data modeling tool.
• Uphold enterprise policy guidelines and recommend new/improved guidelines
• Partner with project teams and interact with customers to find solutions for projects and operational issues for existing and proposed databases
• Provide administration of Distributed Oracle implementations, including database definition, structure, documentation, and long-range requirements
• Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to perform in all of the database management skills of database administration, Web connectivity, physical structure, overall architecture, and database analysis
• Provide standardization and consistency across environments
• Ensure a stable and secure database environment
• 5 or more years of Oracle development and admin experience for large enterprise database and business intelligence environments using at least Oracle 10gr2 or higher
• 5 or more years of performance tuning experience in a very large database environment, including enabling and interpreting extended SQL tracing, creating and tuning complex SQLs, Views, Stored Procedures, partitioning for OLTP and OLAP applications.
• 3 or more years of UNIX/LINUX experience
• 3 or more years of experience implementing and integrating enterprise identify and access management solutions within an Oracle environment
• 3 or more years Writing and tuning SQL and PL/SQL scripting experience
• Experience working with Oracle database catalog objects
• Experience with data modeling tools like ERWin
• Health care data experience
• Understanding of HIPAA privacy security rules
• Experience tuning large scale Oracle Database and applications
• Understanding of programming in Java/JDBC
• Oracle Certified Professional OCP
• Graduate Degree
Competencies:
• Demonstrated ability to plan and lead development activities required to establish and maintain a very large Oracle database implementation
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business users in a clear and concise manner
• Thorough understanding of database concepts, managing database objects in various development, testing and production environments in a fast-paced development environment
