*Role :* *Business Analyst Duration : 6+ months Location : Jackson, MI* *Interview: Phone hire* *USC/GC only* *$45/hr* *The Business Analyst – *Process Analyst will provide Project Process Quality Assurance for the Information Security Portfolio. In this role, the selected candidate will work with the IS Portfolio Manager to develop a plan for providing quality assurance activities on projects within the IS portfolio, as well as other portfolios in the IT department. Additional support of the IS Portfolio may include assisting in the assurance of process adherence to Security standards and gating across all projects within the IT Portfolio. As needed, the candidate may be assigned a portion of their time directly to large scale projects to perform quality assurance support specifically tailored for that project. *Responsibilities include:* - Implement governance standards across the Information Security portfolio - Develop portfolio lessons learned processes for the IS portfolio - Manage portfolio level risks and issues - Develop and carry out assurance review processes as required by the IS Portfolio Manager - Liaise with staff of other portfolios - Work with the IS Portfolio Manager to develop project templates to support the project managers - Continue to evolve the processes and templates - Implement project standards across the portfolio - Prepare consolidated material from project reports for monthly review - Complete and distribute monthly portfolio level reports - Support the implementation of quality strategy, including any processes and templates, across all projects. *Skills & experience preferred:* - Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. - Ability to deal with situations involving ambiguity. - Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments. - Experience in the utility industry. - Previous experience in establishing quality assurance function. - Experience using CA Clarity PPM tool and/or other scheduling tools desirable. - Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and/or industry activities - Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources - Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint - Strong analytical skills – strong problem solving skills, communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions; anticipate obstacles and develop plans to resolve - Actively generate & engage in process improvements; support and drive change, and confront difficult circumstances in creative ways *Requirements:* - Minimum of 7 years’ experience with one or more structured development methodologies. - Minimum of 7 years’ experience with Project Management methodologies. - Advanced studies in Computer Science, IT Management, Business or related subject required.
