*Job Title: **Embedded System Engineer with Testing Exp. (System Verification Engineer )* *Location:* *Valencia, CA * *Duration:* *18 months (Possible Extension) No OPT Minimum 8+ Years of Experience * *Job Description: * Independently or as member of a team; Engineer will be responsible to analyze system specifications, support integration, develop test methods and drive system level/software/firmware verification activities. Responsibilities include working with cross functional teams on new product development and sustaining projects. *Duties and Responsibilities:* • Participates on project teams to develop clear system specifications, feasibility plans and reports and system integration tests. • Analyze system and software/firmware requirements to determine testability, completeness and consistency. • Design Test cases, Test Strategies and Test Procedures to evaluate the behavior of the software/firmware as compared to the specified requirements. • Develop automated test scripts using PHP • Support automated and semi-automated test execution • Perform design acceptance testing • Perform ripple analysis to analyze changes • Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques as they relate to Software Testing. • Providing solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. • Support regulatory submissions of specifications, test plans, and reports . Works under general supervision. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Specialized Knowledge & Skills: • Knowledge of SEIT (Systems Engineering Integration & Test) roles and functions, including requirements management, functional analysis, interface definition, synthesis and verification • Extensive technical knowledge of advanced testing concepts and formal Systems Verification strategies for regulated Software, preferably in the Medical Device Industry. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to positively influence individuals and groups • Strong problem solving skills in a team environment • Knowledge of both Manual and Automated Testing Tools for Application Software as well as Embedded Systems • Understanding of hardware design and trade-offs, embedded (real-time) software tradeoffs, performance and redundancy issues • Knowledge of Software and System Architectures, Software Engineering Best Practices, and programming and scripting languages. • Understand SW/HW systems and be able to test for the types of failure modes associated with these systems. • Experience using configuration management, requirements management, issue tracking systems *Experience:* • BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience) • 5+ Years’ experience in Systems Engineering, Software Development and/or Software V&V • Training, technical: Evidence of continuing education in technology improvement, advanced product development tools and processes. *Strongly Desired Skills:* • Experience in the Medical Device industry (or other regulated environment) • 2+ Years experience programming in Scripting Languages (preferably PHP or Python) • 3+ years Experience in writing Automated Software Test Scripts for Embedded Systems • Ability to read, understand and/or write C++, C# Code Regards , Kailash Negi VSG Business Solutions 221 Cornwell Dr Bear, DE 19701 Email ID : *kail...@vsgbusinesssolutions.com* <kail...@vsgbusinesssolutions.com> Phone: 302-261-3207 x 102 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
