Job Title: Security Analyst Duration: 5 months Location: Austin, TX Candidate will be assigned to the Global Cyber Security Compliance team supporting the System Security Plan program as an information security analyst developing and regularly assessing system security plans across the business units and global functions. The plans represent systems at every layer of the open systems interconnect model and involve corporate policy and standards, industry and regulatory controls and IT computing controls. The candidate must have experience conducting/assessing IT systems for compliance in a diverse technology environment across varying infrastructures, applications and networks. • Assists in the demonstration of system security operational objectives by contributing information and providing recommendations to strategic plans and reviews. • Assesses systems for compliance against aligned security policies and standards and conducts gap analyses. • Prepares and completes associated remediation action plans; assisting with resolving problems; identifying trends; determining system improvements and driving needed change. • Records system security plan information in the eGovernance, Risk and Compliance application to promote and develop security strategies; directing system control development and access management, monitoring, control, and evaluation. • Plan development will include assessment and understanding of system safeguards, security provisioning and disaster preparedness and test plans. • Advises senior management by identifying critical security issues; recommending risk-reduction solutions. Education and Experience Required: • First Level University degree. • 3+ years in risk management roles • 3+ years in IT compliance Knowledge and Skills Required: Working experience with information security policies, network security, change management, quality management, technical management, working with limited supervision, decision making, problem solving and analyzing information: • Demonstrates an understanding of key IT operational policies, processes and methodologies applicable to conducting assessments. • Possesses or is preparing for a professional security certification (i.e., CEH, CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS, etc). • Speaks with authority to all layered in depth cyber security and data protection components. • Supported projects and project requirements. • Perform in a teaming environment as an enabler—experience leading AND following IT tacticians and security practitioners to sound decisions. • Strong communicator, comfortable discussing/consulting with technical and business staff • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Broad understanding of security fundamentals and general security technologies, including operating systems, network security (firewall, virtual network, IPSec,), Security Event Management, Business Continuity, physical security, cryptography, Identity Management, PKI, directory services, etc. • Uncompromising personal and professional integrity and ethics • Sound decision-making and judgment, especially under pressure • Ability to work and succeed in a remote/virtual environment with limited supervision. • Strong organization, prioritization, and rationalization skills -- Thank you Tejaswini Kola IT Recruiter S <http://www.cybsearch.com/>tiaos Technologies Inc. *k.tejasw...@stiaos.com <k.tejasw...@stiaos.com>* Phone: 832-447-1259 832-510-8455 Ext 114 www.stiaos.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
