program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project, Clarizen etc.)
is a strong advantage

· Excellent communication skills

· Excellent problem-solving ability

· Bachelors or Master’s Degree

· 10-15 years of IT and business/industry work experience

· 3-5 years of program management experience

· Demonstrated skills with a focus on leading through ambiguity and
influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.

· Ability to work across multiple countries and groups to set
direction, build consensus and solve problems

· Demonstrated experience with leading large scale change
initiatives, and in a complex, multi-faceted environment

· Conceptual thinking; ability to communicate a compelling vision
and apply business needs with resource requirements in an effective manner
as an input to near and long term requirements.

· Ability to communicate effectively in all settings, including
sensitive and intense situations, by tactfully responding to requests and
thoughtfully persuading others to adopt ideas.

· Experience in contract negotiation and management of vendors.

· Ability to travel internationally.

Hennepin County has a need for a Project Manager to lead the technical team
responsible for modifying processes, integrations and data loads required
for the successful transition between PBM vendors.



*Roles and Responsibilities*

• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project ensuring
tight deadlines are met.

• Develop and manage project work plan using standard tools and
techniques to control each work activity from inception to completion.

• Ensure that risks and issues are identified, analyzed and
responded to maximizing positive results and minimizing adverse
events.

• Monitor, document and report on project progress; provide
appropriate status reports to stakeholders.

• Conduct regular project meetings work with project team
and/or the project sponsor/owner.

• Five or more years of experience as an IT Project Manager
within the last seven years

• Experience managing projects in a large, complex organization

• Knowledge of formal project management methodology

• Ability to collaborate and influence team members, senior
management and sponsors.
