Job Description*
Key requirements:
Build Tools: NAnt, Ant, MS Build
Versioning: SVN, TFS (2008 or 2010) - Must
Continuous Integration: Cruise Control (.Net, Java) –
Must, Hudson (not a compulsion)
The Engineer would work in implementing SCM (Software Configuration
Management) processes on projects, setting up CM infrastructure, supporting
our Continuous Integration Build environment with automating software
builds and migration processes. Responsibilities include to plan, develop,
execute and support application Build-Release processes and maintain source
controls system. This position will work closely with key members of the
development team. Assist development teams in the installation and
maintenance of applications in the integration non-production and
production environments. Maintain and Support Developer Tools and Developer
Environments. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and will
continuously strive to improve and automate our build and release process.
Responsibilities
• Support our Continuous Integration Build Environment and Automated
Migration Processes.
• Configure software builds and automated deploys to lower non-production
and production environments
• Support and Maintain source control environment (TFS \ VSS & Subversion)
• Team Foundation Server (TFS) administration
• Perform software branch and merge process between release cycles
• Assist in the maintenance and administration of build/release systems
• Write scripts to enhance current build/release environment
• Incorporating new development projects into existing build structures
• Installing and/or upgrading new software tools when needed and help
administrate common Engineering resources
• Create and maintain tools and scripts to deploy and configure our
software products
• Trouble shoot Application Configuration issues in lower test and
production environments
• Oversee and ensure the automated build, release and test suites run
smoothly.
• Maintain and Support Automated Build-Migrations scripts
• Participate in the improvement, documentation, communication and
enforcement of configuration engineering processes for software
applications.
• Reporting on configuration status of development, test and production
environments.
• Enhance existing automated Build/Deploy process and architect the next
generation centralized deployment
• Document and maintain automated Build Migrations scripts
• Continually evaluate tools and technologies to improve the overall
release process

Job Requirements*
BaBachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related
discipline
• 5+ years experience as a Software Application Build and Release
Engineering
• Strong experience with source control systems TFS, VSS & Subversion
(preferably MS Team Foundation Server)
• Administrative expertise of Team Foundation Server (TFS 2010 preferred)
• Extensive knowledge in various branching/merging methodologies and
release procedures
• Experience in architecting release engineering, configuration management,
software development or related discipline
• Experience with continuous integration build engines, such as Cruise
Control, Team Build, Hudson etc.
• Proficient in MS Build, NAnt, Ant scripting languages for automated
Build-Release process
• Exposure to Administration of Web Servers IIS, Web Sphere, tcServer etc.
• Experience with automating software deployment and packaging.
• Programming knowledge with Exposure to Visual Studio IDE’s and .NET
environments.
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written
