Work with multiple stakeholders to understand requirements for a reliable,

- Experience implementing extensible, data-driven web applications backed
by relational databases

- Experience building usable, accessible, functional, and visually
appealing web site UI

as AngularJS

*Nice to have:*

- Experience interacting with customers, helping them understand their
analytics requirements. Experience across relevant business domains using
large scale real-world data sets to perform analytics.

- Experience independently running an analytics project and implementing a
solution that meets their needs.

*QUALIFICATION DETAILS:*

· Product release and security services team which manage
operational processes as well as physical security for high value assets
for the company – managing the Microsoft identity in the form of
certificates. We manage the certificate side of things, making sure that
all code that is released internally and outside of Microsoft is signed
with certificates that validate that they come from a trusted source and
they did not contain malware when it left our door. We have some
development work that we don’t have resources able to do at this time
because of an increased workload – the current resources have too much to
do at this time.

· Making sure that the tool that is developed meets the needs.
Skill set is vital as we are looking at the quality of the deliverable in
the end.

· This person will spend their day writing code. Requirements will
come from the PM, but the contractor may have to interact with stakeholders
if they have specific questions about the requirements. There may also be
the need to talk to someone on the data side of things – talk to someone
who owns the database from which we are getting this data. There is another
team that has done a similar project, so there may be some meetings with
their web developers and/or business owners.

· It’s something that will impact our user base, which is all of
the user groups in Microsoft, in positive ways. It’s a way for somebody’s
work to reach all corners of Microsoft. This person would help in the
delivery of that software and impact engineering teams across MSFT
delivering state of the art software to the world.

· They will be working with a fun team that is in a very unique
area of the company that occupies a very interesting space in the process
of releasing software – nothing leaves this company without this team
touching it. This dashboard will assist in the delivery of all software
that leaves the company.

· We’re going to have a schedule, so hitting milestones is an
important one. Are they quality focused – do they take the initiative to
measure the performance of the code they are writing? Make sure that things
are working by writing unit tests, and show some general software
engineering discipline in those areas. Are they a self-starter – can they
search people out on their own to gather requirements and drive those
conversations?

· Ideally 5-10 years of experience. Security background would be
preferred as well. Looking for someone with a lot of project
experience/hands-on experiences using these technologies. The level of
detail in their descriptions will differentiate between best and average
candidates.

· Also, candidate who have worked on projects that are different
from each other – the developer has written a lot of different types of
code using these platforms and technologies. Project variety.

· This is a data driven application. Candidates should have
experience with projects that have dealt with processing data/presenting
data (doesn’t need to be Big Data) – being able to take a lot of numerical
data and make something sensible of it would make a candidate stand out.

*TOP 3 must-have skills *

a.) HTML CSS and JavaScript – Would like to see that they have worked on
several projects over several years’ time. Give some detail about what they
did to hint at the complexity. Would like to see experience with one of the
JavaScript framework

b.) ASP.net/C# developer – This is a full stack web developer; they will be
working on the entire application from the database to the UI. Would avoid
candidates with only visual basic .Net experience and not C#

c.) Relational database experience – No real database design involved in
this assignment; the work is to write queries and understand how to query
tables that are connected to each other. Microsoft SQL Server is the
preferred database engine, but there are others that would be OK. It’s more
about conceptual experience than SQL language experience.
