Position: SAP SD Consultant

Location: Maine

Duration: 3-6 months Contract to hire  ( Any working status is accepted
G.C, Citizen or H1B)


JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for participating in the development, maintenance,
and *enhancement of the SAP R/3 Sales & Distribution module and
integration*with other application software/packages as aplicable.
Collaborate with
internal customers, IT, and other stakeholders to identify user
requirements, assess available technologies, recommend and implement
solution options.



PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshoot functional problems in SAP R/3 and other application software
when implemented.
Provide business analysis for client operations.
*Customize SAP R/3 and other application* software functionality to satisfy
business requirements and business process design.
Assess available technologies and communicate SAP R/3 and other application
software capabilities/possibilities.
Prepare business specifications for reports.
Develop business relationships and integrating activities with other
departments to ensure successful implementations.
Lead small projects to ensure functionality is developed in a way that
complies with business requirements and established methodologies &
practices.
Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts.
Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues to
meet expected customer service levels.
Provide back-up support on the Applications Support Helpdesk.
Create system User Guides.
Train end-users on new or changed functionality in the SAP R/3 system.
Other duties as assigned.


 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


 EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or business-related
(functional) discipline, with an understanding of programming concepts or
equivalent work experience and technical training.



EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years of experience in the functional areas of expertise.
*5 or more years of experience with SAP Sales and Distribution (Basic
Functions, Master Data, *Pricing and condition techniques, Contracts and
Scheduling Agreements, Billing and Billing interfaces with other
applications, Service Management, Rebates and Extended Rebates, SIS.
In depth understanding of integration with MM, LE and FI/CO.
Knowledge of and experience with project management techniques for
cross-functional projects.
Experience with software unit testing , Integration testing and User
Acceptance Testing.

 REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
Proven ability to work in a self-directed environment.
Thorough understanding of business operations in a manufacturing
environment.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with individuals at all
levels within the company.
Good project management skills, operating as part of a team organizing,
planning, and executing projects.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with relevant application architecture.
Strong knowledge of functional business processes preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
High computer work.
Some world-wide travel.
Participate in the off-hours on-call rotation.
