Rate: $43/HR C2C

Job description:
Our client is hiring two (2) Jr. Java Developers to join their existing
development team. Our client provides development to twelve (12) State
Public Health departments and are signing a new contract that is requiring
the additional growth. They have been in business for 20+ years and
currently employ 50 people. The Developers will join a team and be
responsible for assisting their clients meet Gov't required certification in
their immunization plans. This is accomplished by making code changes to
their current HL7 protocol. They will be responsible for insuring that all
messaging completed by the protocol meets the new Gov't requirements and
qualify them for certification. Must have strong written and verbal
communication skills, since they will also be communicating with customers
to explain and recommend solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Development of features for internal and external product applications
* Document business and system requirements
* Working directly with Business Analyst and external clients for
modifications and implantations.
* Document and execute unit and integration tests
* Potential Travel to clients sites (10%)
Required Skills:
* 2-3 years of Java /J2EE Development and other Java technologies ( JSP,
Servlets, and Struts)
* Experience working JSP, Servlets, Struts, AJAX and Web Services
Development
* Must have experience working with JDBC (hand-offs, etc.)
* Experience working with Tomcat and Apache Servers
* Solid interfacing experience with Oracle Data in a non-hosted environment.
* Strong communication skills, both oral and written (client facing at
times)
Desired:
* Working knowledge of Spring is a Major Plus
* Understanding of PL/SQL Programming
* Experience working with Healthcare Government Agencies.
*Understanding of HL7 (preferred knowledge of working with 3rd party
specification)
