Position : VMWare Engineer Location : Boston, MA Qualifications Basic: • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a VMWare System Engineer • Familiarity with Virtualization build methodologies, performance tuning, storage and memory management, and ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting • Scripting and programming skills (powershell, shell, awk, perl, python) • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills • Effective written and verbal communication skills Preferred: • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and equivalent work experience • VCP certification highly desired – MSCE, RHCE • Understanding of Project Management and ITIL v3 methodologies • Experience in developing scalable policies and procedures, including system standards, capacity planning, and centralized management (experience within enterprise environments preferred) • Familiarity with the following: rsync, sshd, LDAP, apache, DNS, syslogd, ntpd, net-snmp, tomcat configuration, WebSphere Suite, J2EE preferred. • Familiarity with a variety of storage technologies including SAN and NAS storage platforms • Experience with VDI technologies preferred (Citrix, VMware) • Experience with application presentation and streaming preferred (Citrix Presentation Server, Xen Suite, etc.) -- *Kevin Swarky* Swarky Solutions -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
