Strong background in Java / J2EE technologies.
Proficient in SQL, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, IIS, jQuery and other web
development .
Strong background in UI technologies such as XML, XSD, XSLT, JavaScript,

Strong knowledge of relational database design concepts
Strong database design skills, Experience with SQL programming in SQL
Server 2008/2005 and Oracle 11g/10g
Web Services development experience using XML, XSD, SOAP and XML Web
Services.
Strong background in REST/JSON.
Knowledge on healthcare processing, HL7 formatting and Rhapsody development
tool a plus.
Thorough technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design
and implementation
Experience in carrying out the requirements, design, and development,
testing implementation and support phases of applications software project
Extensive experience in object oriented programming and implementing design
patterns.



*Senior Java Developer*
The client is further advancing the Commonwealth's goal to electronically
connect all of its health care community.
We are interested in engaging a Senior Java Developer with experience in
Java /J2EE technologies. We are specifically looking for senior Developers
with J2EE and middleware application development experience. This resource
will help in application development, configuration, enhancements, gap
analysis, bug fixes and technical support services to different enterprise
applications for the organization. Knowledge in the Healthcare area with
focus on HL7 is a plus.

*Responsibilities*
Perform as a senior member of the maintenance and enhancements team
Develop / enhance /review applications and code in accordance to SDLC
methodology, industry best practices, and departmental policies and
standards
Analyze business and functional requirements in order to collaborate with
the Applications Architect and functional leads to propose and document
technical solutions
Create and execute functional integration test plans
Provide communication, analytical, and problem solving skills to help
support the development process and to ensure that the project deliverables
are met according to specifications.
Must be self-managed, responsive, and dedicated to exceptional customer
support
Provide timely updates on tasks and meet internal and client deadlines with
high quality deliverables.
Experience working with project teams to architect, design, and deliver
solutions to meet business requirements

*Experience*
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related degree program and 8+
years of technical experience

Java Developer



*Location: Quincy, MA Duration: 6+ months MUST INTERVIEW IN PERSON*

Senior JAVA Developer (SJA) will design, develop, and implement web-based
Java applications. The SJA will be required to design components,
sub-components and reports and then follow through with the coding, unit
testing and integration of those components, usually working as part of a
team, but sometimes independently. He or she will follow an agile
methodology, create design documents, and resolve technical issues through
debugging, research, and investigation.
The SJA will have a degree of creativity and latitude and will be
responsible for code quality and adherence to IT standards. He or she will
participate in all phases of the project life cycle, with emphasis on
business technical requirements from development to implementation. In
addition the SJA will work closely with the MassHIway team to implement
code enhancements in phase II to onboard clinical providers to integrate
with the Massachusetts Health Information Exchange (HIE).

*Responsibilities:*
Create new system reports module, address system enhancements and upgrade
existing system with current cutting edge technologies.
Participate in design reviews and identify potential mitigation strategies
for technical risks.
Provide J2EE best practices to convert EJB's into Object Relational mapping
(Hibernate).
Convert existing struts framework to JSF and comply with the American
Disability Act accessibility.
Develop architectural proofs of concept to demonstrate practical business
agile solution and evolve core architectural constructs.
Configure WebLogic application server to support the development and
deployment of enterprise applications and services.
Fix Vulnerability and performance issues.
Document technical approach and core design artifacts.
Conduct unit testing.
Measure compliance against standards.
Communicate clearly with project team; as well as IT shared services team.
Work with a disciplined change management and application management
environment.
Work within a group and collaborative team dynamic under the direction of
the PM and or team lead.
Provide technology summaries and recommendations to team leads.
Produce weekly status report.

*Qualifications:*
Bachelor's degree required.
5+ years of experience as a Java developer (J2EE, JSP, EJB).
3+ years BEA WebLogic 9.2/11g experience.
Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP) but not required.
Jasper reporting experience.
Object relational mapping tools (Hibernate).
Experience with JSP, JSF, Spring, MyFaces and Struts front end solutions.
Experience implementing Web Services (WSDL, XSLT, XML, SOAP) and REST.
Well versed with Ant and Maven2 build scripts.
Experience in writing Oracle SQL queries and Stored Procedures.
Experience writing and reviewing technical design solutions.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask on multiple projects
at one time.
Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with
technical resources from multiple organizations; build relationships and
influence others.
