*Data Modeler Consultant*
*Location: Eden Prairie, MN*
*Duration: 6 months*
*Responsibilities:*
This person is responsible for data modeling tasks using standard data
modeling tools i.e. ERStudio, ERwin etc. He or she demonstrates strong data
modeling & design strategies for Oracle based databases. Primary focus will
be new project development and/ or modification of existing systems. Ensure
compliance with architectural standards and participation in development
life cycle agile methodologies.
*Key Tasks:*
· Participates in business requirement analysis and gather data
requirements
· Facilitate data modeling sessions with business & technical
partners
· Design Logical and physical data model
· Generate SQL Scripts and work with DBA group for implementation
of data model within Oracle
· Create/Generate data mapping deliverables for development team
for SQL programming
· Publish data architecture deliverables
· Conduct systems analysis and data profiling activities as
necessary
· Lead data modeling tasks and deliverables from offshore team
*Deliverables:*
· Conceptual Data Model including project level data flows
· Data requirement documents
· Logical data model
· Physical data model
· Data dictionary
· Oracle DBMS objects creation/updates
· Source to target Data mappings
*Qualifications:*
· 3-5 years of experience with all aspects of Logical, and physical
data modeling.
· Experience with Oracle DBMS specific data modeling.
· Strong interpersonal skills in resolving complex data issues and
gathering data requirements in a professional manner.
· Background with other architecture principles i.e. metadata,
master data management, data quality etc.
*Technical Skills:*
· Data modeling tools (ERStudio preferred)
· Strong SQL expertise
· Oracle DBMS experience
