*Job Description:*

The client is seeking a Senior SAP Basis contractor for an approximately 12
month engagement on the Department's SAP Hosting Services transition to
State data centers.  The SAP Basis Administrator will be responsible for
providing comprehensive system support for the Enterprise Resource Planning
(ERP) system utilizing SAP software.  The fiscal accountability and
management of diverse activities is extremely complex and requires a robust
business system that will provide meaningful, accurate, and timely
information for the various needs of public/private end users, the Federal
and State government and departmental and administrative requirements. The
complexity of these businesses requires an expertly managed and staffed
support team.  This support team is responsible for ensuring the users of
these systems can competently perform their jobs and have reached their
full potential as it relates to the use of the various ERP applications.
This requires a skilled and dedicated team to ensure the on-going
operations are not adversely impacted while implementing and integrating
new applications in a cost efficient and appropriate manner.



Responsibilities:


   - Primary responsibilities include SAP Basis administration and support,
   technical support, transport management, batch management and production
   support for SAP environment.
   - Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting and refresh to ensure
   stability, security, recoverability of the SAP and related systems.
   - Management of SAP in FDA regulated and Sarbanes-Oxley controlled
   environment.
   - Perform root-cause-analysis, as well as performance management and
   optimization of SAP Systems.
   - Proactively analyze SAP environment to detect deficiencies and
   recommend solutions for improvement.
   - Develop and maintain policies and procedures relating to information
   systems. Maintain technical infrastructure reference documents such as
   technical architecture, interface references, hardware and software assets.
   - Experience with developing SAP data archive solution using Open Text;
   Ability to analyze problems, troubleshooting and resolving Open Text
   related issues.

   - Excellent technical understanding of SAP across multiple modules
   - Strong technical skills in implementation and support of SAP systems
   in a DB2/AIX environment
   - Willingness to work in a complex and challenging project environment
   with aggressive timeline
   - Experience with Datacenter migration in a SAP environment
   - Three or more full-lifecycle implementations of SAP
   - Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, both independently
   and as a team member
   - Must be flexible with work hours to be able to support system

*Title:   SAP Basis Administrator*

7+ years Experience supporting R/3, ERP 6, XI/PI on AIX and DB2 platform.

> Strong and demonstrated experience in Solution Manager processes. Atleast
three lifecycle implementations of Service Desk, ChaRM, and other Solution
Manager Processes.

> Strong Basis/NetWeaver Administration skills, along with experience in
system installations, implementation, sizing and landscape migration across
data centers.

> Must have Production Support experience along with demonstrated ability to
coordinate the support teams in a global environment.

> Knowledge of Transport and change management practices.

> Working knowledge of ALE, idocs, and file interfaces over FTP or other
file transfer protocols.

> Experience with Netweaver administration on the Java WebAS.

> Experience with Performance management and tuning of systems and
applications on both ABAP and Java WebAS.

> Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to analyze
customer requirements or error situations and design solutions to meet their
needs.

> SAP security GRC experience with at least one implementation is a must.

> Good Knowledge in UNIX scripting



*Nice to Have: *

> Experience with system upgrades for above mentioned product landscapes to
Current Versions.

> Experience with Global template systems.

> Ability to work on multiple requirements at the same time, and deliver
quality results.

> Working knowledge of ABAP and development tools.



Position Requirements:



Minimum 5 to 7 years hands-on SAP Basis support experience with a solid
understanding of SAP BASIS fundamentals

At least a Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering, or related
field

Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills

Experience in a multiple landscape multi-business environment and a good
understanding of related BASIS issues

Strong customer focus

Ability to work effectively with a highly technical, virtually-located teams

Knowledge of web technologies and/or SAP Portals

Experience with ERP 2004 or greater, NW2004 or NW2004s, XI/Portal.
