A minimum of 8-10 years of increasingly responsible systems development
experience on multiple platforms. Clearly demonstrated ability to:
Effectively leads requirements gathering, design and development of complex
systems; design and develop high quality, scalable and efficient solutions
and products on schedule, required.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in the development environment
commensurate with the assigned area of responsibility, required.
Required experience developing with: Developing desktop application with
Java 1.4, XML, integration with SOAP service layer
Required experience controlling devices over serial and parallel ports
Preferred developing modem communication using AT command set
Preferred experience developing with RAD, or equivalent of Eclipse required
Preferred experience developing with: Hibernate SQL
Preferred experience using packaging tools, specifically Inno (Wise
Installer and InstallShield equivalent)
Debugging using stack trace analysis preferred
*Role: Microsoft BI Developer - SSRS, SSIS, SSAS*
*Location: Houston, TX*
*Duration: 9+ months*

Houston based company has kicked off a business intelligence/business
analytics initiative and will be using the Microsoft SQL Server BI suite of
tools. To support this program, the company needs senior developer
resources experienced with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Analysis
Services (SSAS), and Integration Services (SSIS). Scope of responsibilities
include:
• Business reporting requirements analysis
• Reporting design solutions analysis and recommendations
• Technical and functional design – source data, data warehouse, OLAP
cubes, reporting design
• Programming, testing, and delivery of identified reporting solutions
• Functional and technical support for implemented reporting solutions
*Skills and Experience*
• 8 years with Microsoft SQL Server based BI technologies including SQL
Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Demonstrated experience with full lifecycle reports development –
requirements, analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment,
support
• Demonstrated experience with data analysis, multi-dimensional database
modeling, defining data sources, designing OLAP cubes, etc.
• Demonstrated experience with ETL design and development using SSIS
• Demonstrated experience with data analysis and database logical and
physical database design experience – SQL Server experience required;
Oracle experience highly desired
