*Position: QA Tester* *Location: **Dallas, TX(Need local sonly)* *Duration: 6+ months* Pay is $33-35 C2C and I need 3 candidates if you have real good candidates for this one. Retail experience has to be very recent; EMV/POS is critical. Please double check these to make sure they are very close to Job Description. Skype is fine. *F2F is needed, but will cross checking again for the same.* *If any of your employee’s has Collis Testing Tools, a huge plus. * *Please review manager’s overall feedback below and modify your sourcing efforts accordingly. * - Exposure to an Integrated POS and its functionality is very limited. - Does not meet the Job Description Criteria, Recent experience in Retail POS is a must. - Could not talk about what is given in the resume. - Experience is more on Inventory Management and Reports Verification. - No knowledge in EMV and lacked basic definitions on cards and POS transactions. - Very limited exposure to Retailing, expect more from somebody who has 2 years of Retail experience. - Limited knowledge of Testing Process and Test methodologies. - Knowledge on EMV Integration is limited. - Doesn't have the relevant retail experience. - Very limited knowledge of Retail POS for obvious reasons, knowledge on EMV Integration is not that great either. - Has constraints working Extra hours or during Weekends. - Has retail experience which is ecommerce (we are looking for Brick and Mortar) which was 5 years back. - Answers to basic Questions on EMV processing drew a Blank. - Has no exposure to Collis Tool or EMV Certification testing. - Could not talk clearly about the most recent project that he worked on, does not understand the different testing types. - Couldn’t articulate the Quality Center workflows. - Did not answer questions on Basic EMV flows. - the most recent experience is not in retail. - Very limited exposure to Integrated Retail POS, this is a mandatory requirement for us. - Has very limited knowledge of how EMV/Non-EMV Payments is processed at the Store. - Did not answer questions on EMV flows. - Did not work much on System testing and PIT testing. - Not able to communicate his thoughts well. - Has Limited Exposure to EMV and other Payment Methods. 1. Prepare a list of the top 3-5 items this employee will be responsible for or need to have experience with. (Technologies, tools, software/hardware, methodologies, etc…). *Response 1: *1) Retail Back office and Front office applications testing for small & large retail format Stores. 2) Experience of using test tracking and defect management tools. 3) Good understanding of QA processes and software development Life cycle 4) Knowledge of functional and structural testing design techniques 5) Experience in writing and executing test cases 6) Ability to Report and Track defects 7) Document anomalies and issues. 8) Good communication, verbal and written Fast-learner Desired 9) Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines 10) Strong analytical skills 2. Define success for this position. What will this person be doing on a day to day basis? *Response 2*: 1) Understand existing system at a high level 2) Able to quickly understand the existing functionality within a week before testing starts. 3) Create/Modify existing Test cases 4) Analyzes the issues thoroughly before logging them as a defects 5) Track defect through completion 3. What are any current obstacles this person may face? What is being done to remove those obstacles? *Response 3: *There is minimal training for this position. This is a specialized skill and need this person to know or be able to quickly adapt. 4. Are there companies or competitors you would like to target or have had good candidates from? *Response 4: *No but Preferred, Wal-Mart, JCPenney, Neumann Marcus, Lowe's, Kroger, Target etc would be good to have 5. What personality type tends to work best on your team? What is the work culture like? *Response 5: *Flexible, get it done attitude, not easily stressed, works well under pressure, detailed, Excellent professional, business manners and highly customer sensitive and customer oriented. 6. Define the goals for this candidate and what target measurements will be used against their performance? *Response 6: *1)Progress Vs. Plan 2) Defect quality Trend (Severity of the Defect) 3) Rework 4) You are supposed to communicate practical difficulties 5) You are supposed to learn under tight schedules 6) You are supposed to keep the passion alive 7.
