*Scrum Master* *Location: Buffalo, NY* *GC and Citizens only * *Duration: 6 months* The Scrum Master acts as a servant leader for team(s) by assisting in implementing and improving their Agile Practices, ensuring clear communication and organization of all objectives, and removing impediments that may prevent the team from meeting sprint goals. They will bring industry and internal expertise to teams by training and coaching on agile values, principles, practices and tools. The SM will drive continuous improvement and ensure the team’s processes are continuously followed and focused on delivery. May serve as Scrum Master for one or more teams or consult with new or existing agile teams to help them become effective and efficient in their use of Agile Practices. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Serve as scrum master for one or more teams ? Assist team in visualizing and managing their work ? Creatively facilitate meetings with team for purposes of idea generation, planning, retrospecting, problem solving, and alignment ? Cultivate a network of relationships with people from related departments to foster cross-functional collaboration ? Promote and evangelize agile practices, values and principles within the team ? Team level coaching of agile roles, artifacts, and ceremonies ? Promote, coach, and train technical practices such as automated testing, automated builds, code management, etc. which support and enable a DevOps mindset and workflow. ? Introduce new concepts and practices from the outside world, such as conferences, blogs, and books ? Meet with management and stakeholders to discuss successes, challenges, Agile adoption & delivery progress and solutions for improvement ? Identify impediments and implement improvements within the team using both networks of peers and formal channels ? Maintain team focus on quality and continuous delivery ? Mentor new / less-experienced Scrum Masters and team members ? Foster environment of continuous improvement within the team ? Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.
