C is also a must have Must have embedded experience Strong verbal communication is a must Regulated industry experience is a plus Understanding or experience with motion control is a plus Key capabilities: Proven ability with these programming languages: C++/MFC, C Proven ability to work with existing code Highly desired: Proven ability to develop electro-mechanical embedded systems for motion controlled instruments Highly desired: Proven ability to lead external design houses Typical Experience, Skills and Qualifications: B.S or M.S. EE, CE, CS (or related) +5 years relevant experience Experience of product design, development and project technical lead Knowledge of FDA, QSR, ISO desired Contributions / Accountabilities and Associated Activities: Contributes to the development of a well defined instrument and its architecture within the given schedule, budget and scope constraints and enduring adherence to established design control policies. Provides technical direction to project/core team in the creation of a documented and concise set of features that will serve as realistic requirements for the development process and their development. Assures that instruments are developed and documented and verified/validated compliant with established company design control and relevant regulator statures. Accountable for the technical output of a group of engineers (internal or contractors), guiding their work, tracking and reporting on the status of the instrument development. Works globally within the department to develop, improve and promote procedures and methods that facilitates the development of quality products and mitigation of product related risk. Top specific responsibilities of this position Provide third-level support the PREVI Isola instrument through understanding of the instrument’s firmware and electromechanical requirements, design, and implementation. Transfer of PREVI Isola instrument embedded software and firmware by building current source code repository and exactly duplicating previous releases. Develop anomaly corrections and/or feature additions for the PREVI Isola product line given schedule, budget, and scope constraints in compliance with the bioMérieux Product Design Process and/or Change Process. Establish and maintain relationships across groups in the company in order to best support all R&D Engineering customers for the PREVI Isola instrument product line.
