Hardcore Java backend and someone who has done consumer/media websites
development. Of course, great communication is a must.
o Senior Software developers wanted to help build web applications
and editorial solutions.
o Work on a team to deliver customer driven solutions on a timely
basis.
o Responsibilities include designing application components in
consultation with team and consistent, on-schedule delivery. Solutions
include browser-based applications as well as Web Service
and Web 2.0 solutions.
o Developers will be accountable for security and performance
considerations that are expected throughout the development lifecycle.
o Skills will be tested during interview.
Mandatory Skills:
• 5+ Years web applications development experience
• Good communicator
• Good analytical skills, adaptive problem solver and a fast learner
• Team player with creative leadership
• Experienced with standard software development lifecycle, release
management and engineering methodologies
• Familiar with Enterprise Development Software Patterns
• Experience using Tomcat and/or Tomcat based Application Server
(Geronimo, JBOSS, JonAS, etc.)
• Has used Ant, jUnit, and Log4j in significant commercial
application
• JMS and JDBC/SQL expertise
• XML and XML Parsing (DOM, SAX, etc.)
• Completely comfortable with Client Web Development platform
(JavaScript, CSS, XHTML)
• Recently developed commercial applications on UNIX platforms
Additional Skills:
• Lucene /Solr
• RCS, CVS, Subversion
• XSLT
• Tcl
• Experience with Flash development server support
