*Job Title : Project Manager
Location : Rosemont, IL
Duration : 6-12 Months*
*FACE TO FACE IS MUST AFTER INITIAL PHONE SCREENING*
*Description :*
Candidate will NOT manage a specific project. But rather would be client's
right hand in regards to process at Client' place (after they spend some
time coming up to speed on it). They would come aboard and learn the process
(standard waterfall SDLC).
There will be changes to process that this person will also participate in *(as
part of ePMO).*
If process is changed at all, this person will have to communicate change to
the Client's Project Managers and Directors.
• More or less a liaison between hiring manager and the team at large
• EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH A PMO OR WITHIN A PMO
• Anyone who is good PM who is smart and has good management consulting type
skills (doesn't necessary need to come from these firms, but that would be
nice).
• Don't need to be uber-trainer type at all…just a PM
• Admin related functions will include working through approvals, and
consolidating requirements
• Coaching against software development life cycle (analysis docs,
requirements docs, approval process, etc)..
• They will be interacting with other project managers, not executives
"strong PM who is not just a one trick pony, knows how to think outside of
the box would be perfect"..
• Ability to listen and hear that status reporting process is screwed up and
redundant...and help fix such process
• This is a consultant by nature (seen different environments and knows best
practices)
- Facilitate the on-going assessment, review and stratification of the
ER/DW projects portfolio (“road map”), working to assure that projects are
aligned to business needs, are prioritized and provide an appropriate return
on investment, ensuring value is being delivered in accordance with
strategic direction
- Facilitate the PM governance process, including oversight,
implementation and monitoring of controls and development and reporting of
metrics
- Maintain a list of prioritized projects
- Maintain a list of currently deployed systems.
