*Job Title : Junior SQL DBA*

The successful candidate will provide operational support for all database
environments at Client Place. The candidate will administer a mixture of MS
SQL and other DB installs. Candidate will also provide application
development database support as well as database strategic planning,
database architectural design and implementation.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
· Operational support for MS SQL 2005/2008.
· Perform database upgrades and clones as requested by business
· Performance analysis of database environment.
· Participate in change management and incident management processes.
· Develop standard operating procedures for operations team.
· Develop database monitoring and disaster recovery options.
· Participate in rotating "on call" schedule with other members of the team
able to work after hours if required
*Qualifications :
*
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and a solid MS SQL
Server database administration background. The candidate must have
implementation and configuration experience in a multi-tiered (web/
application/ database) environment and be able to learn quickly. Experience
and/or interest in the Airline and/or Telecommunications industries are
desired.
· Minimum 4 years of MS SQL production support experience
· Strong knowledge of Windows Server operational use
· Logical and physical data modeling
· Good knowledge of SQL and Powershell scripting
· Broad technical knowledge of client/server environments including
virtualization
· Excellent communications skills
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment
· Strong interpersonal skills & Strong communication skills (written &
verbal)
· Strong Documentation skill
