* Job Description: *
-Take responsibility for the day-to-day administration of the Apache/Tomcat
environment.
-Assist in the evaluation and research of hardware/system and 3rd party
software and conduct feasibility studies to determine appropriate solutions.
-Communicate well with users, application specialists, developers,
technical infrastructure staff and project management through all phases of
development and Infrastructure support.
-Interact effectively (verbally, written, etc.) with users, vendors and
management to ensure the delivery and use of application is consistent with
agreed upon project goals.
-Responsible for Application Maintenance & Stability.
-Knowledge in application deployment.
-Strong knowledge in Fine Tuning & Performance Management of Middleware
Applications.
-Knowledge on Incident & Change management process.
-Experience in installation & configuration of apache, tomcat servers.
* Requirements:*
-Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in information systems,
computer science or related field.
-Extensive experience planning, designing and implementing necessary
changes to production and non production Apache/Tomcat clusters.
-Significant experience supporting Apache/Tomcat servers for production
mission critical applications.
-Extensive UNIX and Linux experience. Sun Solaris and RedHat preferred.
-Familiarity with several technology tiers, e.g., storage, database,
application and web.
-5-7 years demonstrated Application Development or Support experience with
the following focus: Apache/Tomcat, web logic or WebSphere, Red hat and
Java/J2EE experience.
-Proven experience deploying Apache/Tomcat or web logic architectures.
-Demonstrated progressive experience using Oracle Databases and SQL query
tools.
-Solid interpersonal skills, with ability to work well with people of all
levels of information technology expertise and comfort in varied
organizational relationships.
-Ability to think clearly and take best course of action in high-pressure
situations.
-Ability to change focus and change direction as business needs change.
Ability to multi-task.
-Customer focused, proactive and strong communication skills.
-Documenting the process(Disaster recovery process).
-Validate the Disaster recovery process.
