Duration: 6+ Months Location: San Ramon, CA • Interview process: Phone and then in Person. • Candidate must be with in 35 miles of the office (Livermore, CA) • Excellent Communication • Strong business acumen • Candidates that come from Financial, Medical or Government industries would be good. • Minimum 5 years experience in at least 3 of the following areas: C, C++, Informix, ESQL, Client/Server, UNIX or Microsoft® Windows platforms, Java/Java EE. Responsibilities: • Complete complex software design, system analysis, and programming activities. • Complete complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products. • Develop complex applications using C, C++, Embedded Structured Query Language (ESQL) on a UNIX and/or Microsoft® Windows platforms. • Perform analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of complex applications and subsystems. • Participate in and/or lead product design meetings. • Document the design in a functional specification document. • Perform bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products. • Research problems/issues discovered by QA, Tech Support, Help Desk, or end-users. Develop and implement solutions to the problems/issues. • Conduct unit testing and integration testing for functionality and performance. • Multitask work while maintaining priorities and organization • Keep key players informed and up-to-date with status of tasks and projects while escalating issues that block progress. • Learn new software technology and software development tools to remain abreast of the current technology. • Additional responsibilities may be assigned, as required, by management. Required Skills and Knowledge: • Thorough technical knowledge of software development methodologies, design, and implementation. • Excellent analytical and design skills, at the multiple product level. • Excellent skills in the areas of research and analysis, project planning, and implementation. • Excellent understanding of the entire software development process, including, but not limited to, specifications, documentation, and quality assurance. • Through understanding of business issues as they impact the overall project plans. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. Education and Experience: • Minimum 7 years in a software development environment. • Minimum 5 years experience in at least 3 of the following areas: C, C++, Informix, ESQL, Client/Server, UNIX or Microsoft® Windows platforms, Java/Java EE. • Familiar with Microsoft® Visio, Microsoft® Office and other diagramming tools. • Bachelor’s degree in business, software engineering, or computer science (or the equivalent experience). • Master’s degree a plus.
