Metadata Position: Senior Metadata Solution Analyst
A hands-on metadata analyst who will work with various cross-functional
groups to define metadata requirements, use cases and rapid prototyping on
Informatica PowerCenter & Metadata Manager platform.
This role engages with PayPal Metadata Architecture team to understand and
contribute to Enterprise Metadata Strategy vision and execution.
• We’re looking for a hands-on role, not an architect • Develop
comprehensive metadata requirements, use cases and documentation • Business
glossary and taxonomy development experience • 5+ years of hands-on
experience on Informatica PowerCenter • 3+ years on Informatica Metadata
Manager 8.6.1 and V9 • Strong business and metadata focus • You are
passionate about data context and have the strong ability to associate data
with a specific business process context, and conceptualize it to the
enterprise view of the metadata.
• Knowledge of applications of metadata in structured and unstructured data
domains • Deep understanding of the benefits of metadata • You have the
ability to identify, enrich and define metadata across disparate data
repositories and business domains.
• Engage various PD groups in defining use cases around current metadata
pain points and develop rapid POC implementations. Then, work with
developers to transform POC into a working solution • Proficient in Oracle
and Teradata • Knowledge of metadata industry standards
