Duration: 18 Months
Sr Java developers working on data collection (Probe) modules for our
leading edge monitoring application.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with server architects to design and develop next generation
server data collection modules for the application for its high speed
appliance.
* Provide continual development on post-release generation of server data
collection modules for the application.
Required Skills and Experience
* Proficiency in Java application design and development.
* Experience with the following: Core Java Libraries and Multi Tier
implementation architectures.
* Additional experience with one or more complex 3rd Party interfaces
utilizing Web Services, AXIS, SNMP, SMIS, SSL, JMS, etc.
* 6+ years of experience with highly scalable, enterprise-class
client-server applications.
* Experience identifying and resolving scalability and performance issues.
* Must have a good sense of engineering tradeoffs, and an ability to
understand the impact of software changes on extendibility, scalability,
performance, and clarity.
* Proficiency in object-oriented development methodology.
* 12+ years of applicable server development experience. Prepared to
describe a senior role in a client/server project.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Must be imperturbable, respectful of peers and tactful when
evaluating/offering recommendations and/or criticism.
* Self-motivated and eager to contribute to the success of others and the
overall team.
Education
MS in Computer Science or equivalent
