This business group requires significant custom software development
and depends on smart, resourceful associates that can learn quickly
and wear many hats. Team members may be asked to work on cutting-edge
Microsoft and Java technologies, but they will also need to learn and
understand legacy software such as COBOL or Progress in order to
engage in significant application modernization efforts. Developers
will work on web and desktop applications as well as contribute to the
larger SOA middleware framework.
Responsible for designing and architecting well-integrated and cost-
effective solutions for internal and external web applications.
Knowledgeable in many aspects of designing and constructing Web sites
to enable information access and retrieval, recommends server
operating systems, hardware and security considerations for user
controlled access when developing web applications.
Required Skills:
6+ years of professional development experience.
Excellent base computer science skills (including data structures and
algorithms) and a good understanding of software architecture concepts
and design patterns.
OOP experience in Java or .NET is required.
Extensive experience and expertise with source code configuration
management and build automation using the Jenkins application is
required; must have experience with creating an on-demand build
automation tool that incorporates hashing for SECDM compliance as well
as creating hooks for the agent-driven AutoDeploy process.
Must have experience with .NET 1.1 and 2.0 applications that use WSE
3.0 to exchange datasets securely between web and app tiers.
In addition, consultant must have experience with integrating front-
end .NET and SOA components against a back-end MISER-MCS based Unisys
loan servicing platform.
Experience with software development lifecycle, project methodology,
change control management, and Information Security Readiness
Assessment (ISRA) processes a must
