In this position the developer will be working with a BA to develop an
automated testing system. They are expected to have experience in the
*Automated
Testing world* but they need to be strong developers. *Ruby is what they
are shooting for*, but solid experience in Java, Python, C++ or other
languages would be acceptable. I don't know if you want to start off
looking for Ruby developers and if we can't find someone move on to other
languages, let me know what you think.

*Job Description:*
This individual will use an internal perspective of the system to design
test cases based on internal structure. It requires programming skills to
identify all paths through the software. The tester chooses test case inputs
to exercise paths through the code and determines the appropriate outputs.
Responsible to build a testing application for functional and performance
testing for two next-generation platforms:
1) A user identity management platform for end-user provisioning,
which includes synchronization services with existing applications and
systems
2) A content delivery system for delivery of files, email, encrypted
email and fax between internal business units and external financial
institutions.
Will be challenged to think like an entrepreneur and to deliver excellence
in:
1) Development of automated test application using an automated unit
testing framework
2) Design and implementation of system stress test and performance
measuring applications
3) Analysis of architectures to identify and design test cases
4) Participation in the development/installation of a continuous
testing environment
5) Working with developers to resolve software faults and address
performance issues
6) Providing technical thought leadership for the testing team
*Qualifications*
· Proficiency in Unix/Linux
· Proficiency in object-oriented programming
· Solid experience in Java, Ruby, Python or Perl, C, C++
· A minimum of 5 years experience in development
· Background in (software) engineering or scientific
testing/analysis
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills
· Proficiency in web development/Internet-scale applications a
significant plus
· BS in Computer Science or applicable engineering discipline
preferred
Strong relational database experience (DB2, Sybase, SQL, Oracle
8i/9i/10g/11g). Strong background working in distributed Unix or Linux
environments.
· Desire to create excellent written and verbal communications is a
must
· Desire to be part of a team producing excellent production
applications that meet critical business
· Experience working with Entrust Public Key Infrastructure (PKI),
Sun Directory Server or Tivoli Access Manager nice to have
