Face to Face required after phone screening local or nearby consultant preferred QA Engineer *San Jose, CA* Contract: 3mo+ What is the product being tested? A web-based software product for external customer use. The product is being demo’d and it is far from production or large scale deployment, product is at a very premature state. Skill sets: - 6-7 yeas total experience in QA - Experience with Command line programming as in Unix/Linux shell scripting (should be able to write shell scripts in Bash or other shells, also proficient with Unix utilities as Awk, Expect). - Experience in Perl object oriented modules (for example IO::Socket, NetPacket::TCP, etc or in general other Perl modules) - Experience in QA GUI automation Black Box test harness development, using tools as FlexMonkey, QTP. Should have experience in developing test frameworks and test harness using languages as Action script, JavaScript. - Experience with developing Functional Black Box QA Test plans, Test & Use cases, based on business requirements (collected over conversations and not available via a formal PRD, CRD, ERD or a BRD document). - Knowledge of setting up cron jobs, very familiar with Linux command line utilities & exposure setting up software on Linux based test systems. - Good communications verbal and written skills.
