About the Opportunity**
An aggressive growth IT Services Company with global footprint is seeking a
user experience (UX) and information architect (IA) Specialist. The UX/IA
professional is responsible for leading user-centered design activities
such as gathering, validating, analyzing, and defining requirements,
conducting user experience and information architecture activities,
creating and planning interfaces, and contributing to the experience
standards definition.
Reports to: Director of UX/UI
Location: Denver
Travel: 50%

Purpose**
The UX/IA Specialist will assist with the gathering of requirements and
producing high-quality UX/IA deliverables such as user personas, use cases,
flow diagrams, content maps, site maps, and wireframes. They will lead the
design of the information architecture and user interface framework,
planning and execution of usability tests, and developing UI prototypes.
Their responsibilities also include assisting creative and technical peers,
presenting UX/IA deliverables to client stakeholders, and continual
learning, teaching, supporting and innovating. Documents created by the
UX/IA Specialist will act as project requirement guidelines for interactive
team members, supporting the successful completion of projects.

Essential Job Functions**
§ UX leadership within project teams.
§ Work with brand, creative, and technical project teams to define and
document requirements, overall user experience vision on projects, and
recommend strategically sound solutions to meet client’s business needs.
§ Work with technical leads, creative leads, the project team, and the
client to identify the client’s business requirements and articulate them
in written requirements and specifications for use by technical and
creative teams.
§ Conduct UX-related research, including stakeholder and user interviews.
§ Provide consultation to visual designers and developers to ensure
defined UX-planning is executed.
§ Provide consultation to project teams on interaction approach,
usability, information taxonomy, and navigation.
§ Assist in making presentations to clients.
§ Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
to clients.
§ Apply, evangelize, and train others in best practices for user-centered
design and user research.
§ Stay current with core web and mobile development technology trends,
capabilities, and limitations.
§ Comfortable in a fast-pace environment, working across multiple projects
simultaneously.

Job Requirements**
§ Experience performing stakeholder interviews, requirements gathering,
and user research. Knowledge of Web and Mobile standards, technologies, and
terminology.
§ Solid understanding of interaction design principles.
§ Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
§ Ability to fulfill, facilitate, or lead any or all UX/IA duties on a
given project.
§ 3 to 5+ years of experience in UX/IA field
o Minimum of 5 years experience with User Interface Design and Usability
o Minimum of 3 years experience in user research techniques such as
usability testing, contextual inquiries and focus groups
o Minimum of 3 years experience with Rapid Prototyping
o Minimum of 3 years with executing IA of complex transactional
interfaces and taxonomies
o Minimum of 5 years with appropriate tools including Axure, Visio,
Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Fireworks, etc., as well as the entire
Microsoft Office suite.
§ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
§ Preferable degree in related discipline: Human Factors, HCI, ID and
Computer Science with specialty in User Interface Design, Graphical Design
or equivalent
