*JOB Description:*
Senior Developer for Middle Office systems - Listed Options Self-Clearing
(Options Workstation)/Trade Processing applications.
As Developer Lead, will evaluate complex business requirements,
understands Options clearing, trade/break management, post trade
processing, CMTAs, Trade booking to back office systems ( Broadridge, BPS,
OAES etc.) and work with users and development team to define, prioritize
and deliver the functionality.
Acts as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program
development, testing, and implementation process.
Supports and maintains current applications by providing expert technical
advice, debug and trouble shoot production issues and responds rapidly to
such events.
Provides leadership and direction to ensure timely delivery of projects and
less experience developers on team. Interface with interfacing application
teams to define the interfaces, specs, SLAs and integrate with Options
Workstation to allow straight through processing. Lead & Interface with
Infrastructure teams to setup & configure UNIX servers, Load Balancing/F5,
NAS storage, BCP/DR architecture, SFTP process, Autosys, messaging (MQ)
integration to support Options Workstation nonfunctional requirements.
*Required Skills:*
8+ years of application development and implementation experience
Minimum 7 years of *Java/J2EE programming* experience on *UNIX *&
proficient with *UNIX shell scripts* or python programming.
Must have hands on working experience with *Java, Oracle database, SQL,
UNIX shell scripting *and *Autosys* with *5-7 years of experience in
building large and complex financial systems.*
Strong Experience of developing business processes using Enterprise
Integration Frameworks such as *Apache Camel, Apache Felix* *is mandatory.*
Experience in setting up interfaces and processing data from major data
vendors such as OCC, Bloomberg, Reuters etc.
Experience in developing trade booking and reconciliation systems and
workflows is mandatory
Project management/lead experience.
Ability to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
Attention to detail and thoroughness a must.
Proactive team member with *can-do* attitude
Demonstrated competency in software design and development
*This position is*
- Responsible for the full development life cycle (design,
development, testing, implementation, maintenance/ enhancements) of
application to support Listed Options Self Clearing & Trade Processing
- Acquire and maintain expert knowledge on vendor systems /
interfaces to install, configure and maintain deployed code and develop new
solutions as requirements change.
- Interfacing with back office systems and receives the financial
data such as positions, transactions, accounts, securities static data etc.
in files/messages and parses the data.
- Develop and build support processes/jobs to make sure that the
system will be up and running and complete Trade processing/bookings in
time and alerts the support team if there are any issues.
- Liaison with IT development teams, Vendors, Operations users, and
IT support teams.
- Maintain all system diagrams, system interface charts and any other
compliance policy and procedure documents
- Provide user training and second level client support for the
applications
