The Software QA/Test Engineer is part of a team responsible for developing
software solutions for the Retail Marketplace. This specific position will
be part of the Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions 4690 OS Test Team. This
role requires a strong test background in software and hardware, to work
within an agile development team with minimal guidance. Responsibilities
include planning and executing functional, systems and solution test. The
job requires an understanding of customer requirements and translating them
into specific test scenarios, understanding technical designs as well as
the specifications and implementing test strategies to maximize
productivity and quality.
*Responsibilities:*
- Review Agile functional specifications
- Create test cases from software design documents
- Execute test cases
- Report defects and track defect resolutions
- Verify defect fixes
- Perform maintenance regression software tests
- Communicate test status to team leads and project managers
*Required skills:*
- BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Software Test Experience (Functional and System level testing)
- Hardware Test Experience
- Experience in Agile and/or Waterfall software development
- Operating Systems (Linux, Unix, Windows (Linux preferred))
- Test Automation (e.g. Selenium, Rational Performance Tester)
- *Retail application or Point of Sale (POS) test experience*
