[Savannah-help-public] [sr #104452] Please transfer control of http://www.gnu.org/software/cvs/ to CVS project
Follow-up Comment #3, sr #104452 (project administration): I asked the FSF sysadmin to add the redirection from www.gnu.org. It should be setup in a few days. bug-cvs and info-cvs can now be reached from both @gnu.org and @nongnu.org. I can setup the mailing list so that references to the domain name become nongnu.org instead gnu.org if needed. ___ Reply to this item at: http://savannah.gnu.org/support/?func=detailitemitem_id=104452 ___ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/ ___ Savannah-help-public mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/savannah-hackers

Follow-up Comment #4, sr #104452 (project administration): I asked the FSF sysadmin to add the redirection from http://www.gnu.org. It should be setup in a few days. Thanks! bug-cvs and info-cvs can now be reached from both @gnu.org and @nongnu.org. Does this include the archives and mail directed at the list? I can setup the mailing list so that references to the domain name become nongnu.org instead gnu.org if needed. Follow-up Comment #5, sr #104452 (project administration): Does this include the archives and mail directed at the list? This is just an alias. It works just the same as the other mail address. I can setup the mailing list so that references to the domain name become nongnu.org instead gnu.org if needed. Why would this be needed? bug-cvs@gnu.org once led me to think CVS was a GNU project :) ___ Reply to this item at: http://savannah.gnu.org/support/?func=detailitemitem_id=104452 ___ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/ ___ Savannah-help-public mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/savannah-hackers

Follow-up Comment #6, sr #104452 (project administration): As long as mail to bug-cvs@gnu.org makes it through to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and vice-versa, the mail for info-cvs@gnu.org makes it through to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and vice-versa, and the archives stay combined, I will remain happy. Hrm. Would like to see that the news-gateway remains operable too. Unless there is anything you think you still need to do here, I think this issue can be closed. ___ Reply to this item at: http://savannah.gnu.org/support/?func=detailitemitem_id=104452 ___ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/ ___ Savannah-help-public mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/savannah-hackers

Also, can we have control of http://directory.fsf.org/cvs.html or could you tell me who to talk to about updating it? Both pages are very out of date. Update of sr #104452 (project administration): Assigned to:None = Beuc ___ Follow-up Comment #1: Maybe it would be less confusing if www.gnu.org/software/cvs redirected to www.nongnu.org/cvs/ (which you already control). What do you think? Likewise, we could add an alias [EMAIL PROTECTED] and other @gnu.org mailing lists. The FSF directory is not directly accessible (everything is checked). Check http://directory.fsf.org/help/directory.html for how to send new information. ___ Reply to this item at: http://savannah.gnu.org/support/?func=detailitemitem_id=104452 ___ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/ ___ Savannah-help-public mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/savannah-hackers

Follow-up Comment #2, sr #104452 (project administration): I would be happy if http://www.gnu.org/software/cvs redirected to http://www.nongnu.org/cvs. I just committed a copy of http://www.gnu.org/software/cvs for now and I should get a proper page up there within a few days. Also, any necessary aliasing between bug-cvs@gnu.org and info-cvs@gnu.org and similar lists on nongnu.org is fine with me, just, please, please, please, don't lose the bug-cvs info-cvs archives. :) Thanks for the directory update link. I'll look into it. ___ Reply to this item at: http://savannah.gnu.org/support/?func=detailitemitem_id=104452 ___ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/ ___ Savannah-help-public mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/savannah-hackers
