* License: Other (GNU General Public License V2)

 Description:
My project (cvsntLCP) is a software to configure cvsnt. cvsnt runs on Windows
and, despite it's name, on GNU/Linux and other Unices and (being a fork of
cvs) is free software itself.
Under Windows, the cvsnt daemons are controlled and configured by a so-called
control panel. cvsntLCP ("Linux Control Panel") aims to provide a similar
graphical user interface to configure the cvsnt daemons. In detail, cvsntLCP
plans to configure the cvsnt repositories, the settings of the cvsnt daemons,
compatibility options to work with cvs, cvsnt plugins and some advanced
options for debugging and special system configurations.
cvsntLCP is licenced under the GNU GPL v2; the source code can be found here
(very early stage):
http://homepage.sunrise.ch/mysunrise/starfire/cvsntLCP/cvsntLCP-0.0.1.tar.gz

 Other Software Required:
glade/libglade
gtk-2.0

[Savannah-register-public] [task #6121] Submission of gimel

2007-01-14 Thread Stephan Peijnik

Follow-up Comment #2, task #6121 (project administration):

Hi Haakon,

I am waiting for an answer from you.

If within one week I still do not get a reply, I will remove your project.
You will still be able to register it again once you have the time to deal
with the registration issues.

Are you still willing to host your project at Savannah? If not, please tell
us - we don't bite, and it will make us gain time.

Regards,

Stephan

[Savannah-register-public] [task #6275] Submission of DKEPR

2007-01-14 Thread Stephan Peijnik

Follow-up Comment #1:

Hi,

First of all I would like to let you know that I am sorry for the huge delay
your project has been facing.

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah. While
doing so I have noticed a few problems which are described below.

Please note that this is not the GNU Evaluation. This is the Savannah
evaluation, to check whether your project complies with the Savannah hosting
rules (a subset of the GNU Evaluation policies), and get a place to host your
project. If you are approved at Savannah and want to be part of GNU, then we
usually approve your project as non-GNU and forward your submission to the
GNU Eval team.

If you do not want to host your project here, but want to have your project
evaluated by the GNU Eval team, then you only need to write to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Can you clarify this point?

Additionally, please include a (perhaps temporary) URL pointing to the source
code. Alternatively, you can forward the code to me by email or attach it to
this tracker.

We wish to review your source code, even if it is not functional, to catch
potential legal issues early.

For example, to release your program properly under the GNU GPL you must
include a copyright notice and permission-to-copy statements at the beginning
of every copyrightable file, usually any file more than 10 lines long. This
is explained in http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html. Our review would
help catch potential omissions such as these.

Note that sending code to our repositories _is_ a release, since the code
will then be publicly available through anonymous access.

Also, you must determine whether your project can run on a Free Software Java
suite (see http://www.gnu.org/software/java/ for more information).

We recommend you to test your project using GCJ and GNU Classpath, and ensure
that your Java code runs on this Free Software Java suite.

GCJ is the GNU Compiler for Java, part of the GCC (GNU Compiler Collection).
The Classpath project aims to develop a free and portable implementation of
the Java API (the classes in the 'java' package).

More information is available at http://gcc.gnu.org/ and
http://www.gnu.org/software/classpath/ .

Please provide us with more information about this point.

If you are willing to make the changes mentioned above, please provide us
with an URL to an updated tarball of your project. Upon review, we will
reconsider your project for inclusion in Savannah.

To help us better keep track of your registration, please use the tracker's
web interface following the link below. Do not reply directly, the
registration process is not driven by e-mail, and we will not receive such
replies.

Regards,

Stephan

 Description:
VM the great mail reader for Emacs has not been maintained for some years by
its author Kyle Jones (http://wonderworks.com/vm/).

For years I have continued to include bug-fixes and enhancements to a patch
against VM and the later a branch of VM and it seems time to create a new
home
for VM which provides a bug tracker and a community controlled central
location.

My version of VM is hosted at at http://www.robf.de/Hacking/bazaar/vm/

Discussion for continuing VM based on my branch can be found on the USENET
group gnu.emacs.vm.info!

Robert.

 Other Software Required:
Either GNU Emacs or XEmacs which are certainly not part of a minimum Free
Operating system.

 Description:
Replace this paragraph by the technical description of your
project (approximately 20 lines should be OK). Do not
forget to include a URL to the source code, even if it
is not a functional version (it will be easier to sort out
licensing problems now, rather than having your project
rejected later on). If you do not have any code
to show yet, then say that explicitly.
