 Description:
Alex is a library written in F95, C++ and Java to work with finite Elements.
The C++ and Java versions are intended to be used for GUI-Applications like
Pre/Postprocessors. The Fortran version is intended for solvers. Alex provides
a relatively consistent interface across all languages, despite being
object-oriented in C++/Java and modular in F95.

Operations of the library include creating/finding/deleting different kinds of
elements, (implemented) reading/writing Nastran decks etc. (in progress)

Alex comes with unit testing code and documentation by javadoc/doxygen.

 Other Comments:
I have written similar software earlier:

I already have a project at savannah: posix90

Follow-up Comment #2, task #11011 (project administration):

Hi Joe, thanks for managing our request.
We really do not have any source code yet, as specified in the posted short
description, and I wish this condition was scheduled.
I registered this project here in the need of a free platform (as in freedom)
to let us coordinate our (near) future works.
Btw, I can attach a tar ball with a sample licensed source file and a COPYING
license file, to attest my competence in releasing GPL'd code.

I'm glad to follow any further step in order to let this project be accepted.

Cheers

Hello.

There are still files without licensing information: /pdbs/*,
Makefile, etc...

Furthermore, a copy of the GNU GPL is missing. From
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html:

If you are releasing your program under the LGPL, you should also
include the text version of the LGPL, usually in a file called
COPYING.LESSER. Please note that, since the LGPL is a set of
additional permissions on top of the GPL, it's important to include
both licenses so users have all the materials they need to
  understand their rights.

Regards.

Hi Matt.

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in GNU Savannah.
You can reach the rest Savannah hackers (Staff) in this list:
http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/savannah-hackers-public.

I noticed some issues with the tarball you submited:

Your project is not yet part of the GNU project, so we cannot accept
its current name.

While there are non-GNU programs with names that include 'gnu', such
as gnuplot and gnuboy, they are not hosted on Savannah. We want to
maintain the distinction between GNU and non-GNU projects.

Please select a name without the substring GNU and resubmit the
project.

Regards.
