I am not a lawyer but the GNU Project recommends to place a license
notice along with the copyright notice in every file, this way no
confussion can arise.

I have approved this project. You will receive an auto-generated
email containing detailed information about the approval.

Regards and thanks for your interest in free software.

Hi Mario,

thank you for your detailed comment.

Okay, I thought it is enough to include the COPYING file with the GPL. I
updated the README and all source files. The new tarball is here:
http://download.berlios.de/ubook/ubook_2011-10-07.tar.gz

> How do you plan to use your Savannah account?

I hope to find a new home for all my developements. Three more projects, I
worked on, are hosted at BerliOS. But BerliOS is closing its hosting service.
For now uBook is my most important project. When I feel comfortable with
Savannah, I will ask for approval of my other projects.

Regards

GNU Savannah task #11396: Submission of uBook

Hi.

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in GNU Savannah.
You can reach the rest Savannah hackers (Staff) in this list:
http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/savannah-hackers-public.

I noticed some issues with the tarball you submited:

Files contain Copyright notices, but they lack license notices.

In order to release your project properly and unambiguously under the
GNU GPL, please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy
statements at the beginning of every copyrightable file, usually any
file more than 10 lines long.

In addition, if you haven't already, please include a copy of the
plain text version of the GPL, available from
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt, into a file named "COPYING".

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html.

If some of your files cannot carry such notices (e.g. binary files),
then you can add a README file in the same directory containing the
copyright and license notices. Check
http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/html_node/Copyright-Notices.html for
further information.

The GPL FAQ explains why these procedures must be followed. To learn
why a copy of the GPL must be included with every copy of the code,
for example, see
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#WhyMustIInclude.

Please fix these issues and provide a updated tarball. You can either
attach it to the tracker or use an external hosting and provide a
*direct* download URL.

GNU Savannah is a central point for development, distribution and
maintenance of GNU Software and other free software.

We do not want to be used as a mere mirror of a project developed
elsewhere. Your project development should happen primarily on
Savannah.

How do you plan to use your Savannah account?

Regards.
