Keith, ix-nay on the ideas-ay!

Seriously, I loathe those "Baby" shows as well. If the material were meant for
consumption by children, then it would've been *aimed* at them ab initio.

Why oh why do people always feel the need to create "young so-and-so" shows?
There is *nothing* in the Iron Man mythos to support this, yet here NickToons
is debuting a new show next month, based on sixteen-year-old boy genius Tony
Stark, wielding the power of the armour! And yes, the show has all the regulars
like teen Happy Hogan, teen Pepper Potts. There's even a young computer geek
Rhodey Rhodes, who stays at home in his room and runs
logistics/tactical/computer support for Tony's missions (and who was it saying
that "Leverage" marginalized the brother to nothing but behind-the-scenes
support?) And this not-old-enough-to-vote Iron Man (Iron Boy?) will be fighting
classic villains like Mandarin, Crimson Dynamo, and Living Laser. I guess all
the villains will be disaffected youth, alienated from their parents and
schoolmates? Gaaah!

I've always hated stuff like "Baby Looney Toons", "Flinstone Kids", that
horrible Superbaby back in the day that showed an infant Superman, etc. So I'll
avoid this one. Let's just hope they don't follow this up with a show about the
infant Iron Baby, flying around in steel diapers, saying stuff like "Me need to
charge up me armor real quick!"
