They announced officially today that they canceled Reaper. :(

Medium is moving to CBS. Its more their speed. Slightly slow and dull but
supernatural.

that doesn't work nowadays, and I hear it's been canceled...

I like the show because it was completely different than anything else that
has been on tv. I think that they could have punched up the comedy a little
more though. It is a little too flat at times. I noticed last night that it
was produced by ABC studios now. That is another thing that is a problem
with the show. They have switched production companies three times now. Good
shows seem to fall to the wayside for the "surefire" winners.

Maybe I should do a list of good tv shows without a home? :)

Did anyone watch Pushing Daisies? Great writing and cinematography! Light
comedy / mystery with a supernatural bent to it.

I like Reaper but the premise is wearing a bit thin. I did like the additional
characters they brought in this year like Morgan and Nina. If they get another
season they need to shake the show up a bit more.

Re: [scifinoir2] Re: "Reaper"

2007-09-28 Thread KeithBJohnson
The one about the young rock band that finds an amulet that lets them
communicate with the spirits of the dead. The blonde haired funny dude in
"Reaper" (who also played in "Invasion" as the conspiracy theory nut) was the
star. It was funny too.
I think I like "G vs E" better than "reaper". I mean Deacon Jones as an
instructor in killing Moorlocks. the whole "no carnal relations" rule? But both
are excellent.

>From the wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Last
Dead Last is an American drama/fantasy/humour television series, produced by
Warner Bros. in 2001. It starred Tyler Labine as Scotty Sailback, Kett Turton
as Vaughan Parrish, and Sara Downing as Jane Cahill. The series ran for one
season, with 13 episodes produced but only 8 aired.
The general plot was of the three members of a fictional band called The
Problem, who find a magical amulet which allows them to see and talk to ghosts.
Each episode featured the trio helping the ghosts that they encountered, in
order for the ghosts to move on to the next world.

Re: [scifinoir2] Re: "Reaper"

2007-09-27 Thread Tracey de Morsella (formerly Tracey L. Minor)
I just saw it. It was great. So, far, I think it is the best new show
this fall. Love the writing and cast. I'm glad the girl who played
original Cindy in Dark Angel (Valerie Rae Miller) has got a potentially
good role that is also not a redo of her role in Dark Angel.

Coincidentally, that quirky show also starred Tyler Labine (also of

comic actor.

Airs Tuesdays at 9 pm, opposite "Eureka". I watched "Reaper" and recorded
"Eureka". good thing is, "Eureka" is rebroadcast around midnight on SciFi.
"Reaper" was rebroadcast tonight, but not sure if that'll be a regular thing.
