Applies. Take a look at readthedocs -

Ok. Whatever. It just looks weird. Clearly it is not a project
communicating. It is a person with access to Twitter account. So even SCons
Updates is a better name IMHO.

Twitter feed on the right feels correct to me. But maybe move a lot of the
rest to bottom or menus.
The "Twitter", "Links" , "Social" , "Tags" come from the page templates.

The source for the pages is either markdown or restructured text. Then it
needs to be run through pelican to generate the pages. Not sure edit this
page really applies in this context.

It is the "The SCons Project", or minimally "SCons", none of the other are
names of the project and so not valid for the name on the account (IMHO).

Anatoly,

Thanks for your feedback.

The RSS is an RSS feed of all posts/pages to the website.

I do like your sugguestions for the links and I'll change those when I make
my next set of revisions.
I'm not sure if I can turn off the date stamps on the pages. Likely I can.
Or perhaps just move them to the bottom of the page where they are less
distracting?

"The SCons Project @SConsProject" comes from the twitter javascript widget
based on the twitter account name and the "name' associated with it. Not
much we could do about that other than changing either of those on twitter.

Changing colors should be fairly simple. I'll look into that.

My overall impression on the redesign is mixed. =)
There is some fresh air in it, but no-color design
without pictures looks boring. Maybe I am also
annoyed with headers being too big compared to
the content, or that every page looks exactly the
same, or that date field that draws my attention
even when I just looking for contacts.

Side menu is either obvious or too obscure.
1. SCons on Bibucket? Source code.
2. SCons wiki? Community wiki.
3. python.org? Why? How many people will be
visiting python.org from this page?

What is Social RSS and what are those Tags entry?

  Social
  RSS
  Tags

The SCons Project @SConsProject is a little boring
nickname + full name combination, but having
realtime ticker on the front page is good.

Dynamic news entries look weird. Dropdowns are
annoying - I like the ability of the old site to go to the
most needed parts with a single click.

Of course all design impressions are highly subjective,
but hopefully it is at least somewhat constructive.
