I hope to bring a Tux to the Counting House to indicate whic table we will be sitting at before the talk. I've recently moved into the Glasgow area (East Kilbride) and looking for some stuff locally to get involved with. I studied in Edinburgh before but never got involved much with edlug over there. Should have more time now to come along to meetings though. Been using linux in some form for around six years (although use OS X at home now). Running various things on a bytemark vm (debian), and at home have a couple of Linksys boxes running linux - a NSLU2 (debian) and WRT54G (openwrt). So hello. I should be along to the next meeting so I look forward to meeting some of you then. -- Callum ___ Scottish mailing list Scottish@mailman.lug.org.uk https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/scottish -- MrLithic.blogspot.com ___ Scottish mailing list Scottish@mailman.lug.org.uk https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/scottish

Hi Scott, A fellow EKer! I've been using Linux for about 8 years or so, starting out with Slackware and latterly using RedHat, SuSE and Mandrake. Strangely enough, I am at this very moment carrying out my first ever Gentoo installation on my laptop! I've been subscribed to the mailing list for a few years now, but have never made it to one of the meetings in Glasgow, as Thursday nights are often a busy one for me. -BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Hey there, Good to hear another new person joining in the fun. I'm Kyle, otherwise known as bagpuss_thecat on IRC, or baggy in real life (thanks Kev). Bit of a Debian fan, but if I ever get my hands on another machine at some point I'll be trying out a variety of distros. I would love to give a talk, my time is limited just now, as I am trying to finish off my freelance work and study for my course, so the next few meetings could be out for me.
