Re: [sdre-l]: sdre FTP

2000-12-07 Thread Gerry Ryall

Hey,

I did a search for "ftp tutorial" and found about 15 in seconds. Anyhow.

Anyhow, go to www.cuteftp.com and download the CuteFTP client, that's the
one i prefer. Others might recommend wsFTP, but i find Cute more powerful
and more user friendly.

After you have it Dled, go to this address:
http://www.cuteftp.com/support/genusage.shtml ... it's a kind of
walk-through of CuteFTP. It's a very easy program to use.

The address again:
sdrearchive.mine.nu
port: 666
l/p: rodeo/jones

PS. For the guy who said that said the band should have stayed broken up
when nate wouldn't come back.. That doesn't make much sense to me. I know
there are people out there who think their best work is How it Feels, like
myself. Besides, even if nobody in this whole world liked their new music,
a musician makes music for himself before anyone else. I'm glad SDRE are
continuing to do what they feel. And it's sad that there are people who
would rather have no music than the music SDRE are producing nowadays.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but how do you access those ftp sites? I
tried just putting in the address, but it never loads, or it says that user
identification failed. What's going on? Someone please help me out...the
same thing happens to me w/sunnydayrealestate.org too. Thanks.

Hey all

Just as an aside to the list, since i sent this to the guy who posted the
original message... The Repository is still up and running, in fact, it's
being accessed now... If anyone has any trouble accessing it, please feel
free to get in touch with me. I'm encoding the last of a few bootlegs sent
to me by a fellow fan (thanks chris!) tonight, and i've gotten a couple of
uploads in the past few days, so there might be some new stuff there since
the last time you all visited.

If anybody has any of the more recent 2000 shows, i'd love to hear them..
the one i have is barely listenable.. keep sharing, folks :)

The address, for those who don't know:

sdrearchive.mine.nu
port: 666
l/p: rodeo/jones

I run a ftp server (used to be the hotline server) 24/7 on a reasonably
fast network.

sunnydayrealestate.org
port 21
login: pheurton
pass: skeurto

It has plenty of rare stuff, as well as a decent selection of live shows
(no brand new stuff though)

If anyone has anything cool to share, doesn't have to be sdre, please feel
free to upload.

I tried using the SDRE Audio Repository FTP site, but nothing is coming up.
Does anyone know any other ftp sites that have rare SDRE material?
