I think your expectations may have been a bit too high. I've been to a
_lot_ of shows in my short life, and that describes about 1/3 to 1/2 of
them. Thinking back on the shows I've been to recently ... Jucifer didn't
say _anything_ ... Out of all of s-k, only Corin spoke ... I can't remember
if Sensefield thanked anyone. Little Red Rocket didn't say much, Cat
Power were very quiet. Elliott Smith _did_ thank everyone, though.

They don't need to say anything or thank the crowd, as long as they're
into their music. I really don't care if they even notice the crowd is
there as long as they love their music and lyrics.

Last time I saw Sunny Day, only Dan spoke, but he was very gracious.
Nobody introduced themselves. There's no reason.

Not the band's fault. They aren't in charge of distros. That's a
screw-up behind the scenes.

> didn't show up for the in-store,

I'm willing to bet there's an explanation for this, too. Hell, I've had
bands go on late because they decided they wanted Chinese food (Juliana
Hatfield, anyone?).

Jeremy's just a person. He gets angry. And if I'm into something as
intense as their music, creating something like that, and then the
guitar blows out or busts a string, I'd be pissed!

That's not rock'n'roll, that's just anger. *shrug*

So .. I dunno. I guess it just depends how you want to look at it. I
recommend you see them one more time before you write them off as a live
act. And you should stay on the list, for sure, cause the music and
lyrics still mean something to you, right? :)

Well, the only thing i can say about the show at Clutch Cargo's was - I took
3 people who'd only heard Sdre a few times, and they all
came away impressed enought to purchase cd's and such.. I was happy to snag
the one No Knife cd i was missing.. a TSMAP tshirt..
and to enjoy a really good set.. I missed a bit of 'In circles' as my bro
has a bad knee and wanted to bail, but still I was very happy with the show
and the venue.
I caught them last time at St. Andrews and that was nice as well, but i have
to say i think there were a few more people at CCs... the whole 'standing in
the rain' preshow pretty much sucked esp since doors were supposed to have
been at 8, but i guess it's really no biggie. Speaking of 8, i'd like to
apologize to the young lady (assuming she's on the list) that i kept bumping
into during that song, but i was craning my neck and standing on tiptoe.. =/
nothing to really report to the list on the set, it was the 'standard' one
so far this tour.. but the backup guy sounded fine to me.. and yes you
still couldn't hear Dan.. sigh, i wish he'd sing more. Oh, and as for
introductions, like you DON'T know who's who in sdre? =P
