One of the underlying reasons for this is to invigorate JAMES development by leveraging SVN capabilities. We can leverage Subversion's branching to improve accessibility for committers to maintain their code on the server instead of exclusively in their own working copies, as with my merger or Jason Webb's work. I still have the merged work I did in the Spring, which I would update in a branch, and then move to trunk/ after people review it. --- Noel - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Søren Hilmer, M.Sc. I propose that we migrate from CVS to Subversion ASAP +1 My biggest issue at the moment is not being able to use cvs through our firewall, this would nicely circumvent the problem ;-) d. *** The information in this e-mail is confidential and for use by the addressee(s) only. RE: Migrate from CVS to SVN
+1 I hope this will lead us to a source tree that compiles out-of-the-box, this will greatly motivate users to become developers and contribute to the source. And I wonder how the CVS repository has grown so complex that people are sitting on their commits for half a year?? If SVN helps to avoid that, great!
