Re: Being promoted as committer

2015-05-27 Thread Matthieu Baechler

Hi Charles,

I understand that you consider my contributions so far not enough to
deserve the committer status and I must admit it's fair because most of
my work is not yet visible and anyway I work for just 2 months on James.

About the "company contributions", Linagora only sponsors our work but
is well aware that everything we do belongs to the Apache Foundation.
You can consider our contributions as individual ones, we won't ask any
rights as a company.

Finally, to make sure our help is as efficient as possible, maybe you
could point us to some important JIRAs you'd like to be fixed for 3.0
release ?

Best regards,

Hi Matthieu,

Thx for brining this on. You can read more on the contribution process

We usually don't look at company contributions, but on individuals ones.
I encourage you to further help and contribute on the JIRA.

Keep up the good work. I will ensure your patches are reviewed faster.

Thx, Eric

Hi all,

Most of you probably know that we, at Linagora, are working hard to
enhance and extend James.

We are handling several JIRA tickets per week but we struggle having
our work to reach James trunk at the same pace.

It seems obvious that most of you are not available to review and
apply patches on a daily basis and you probably have very good reason
for this. It's free software after all, nobody have to give time if
they don't want to.

Given the situation, I'd like to ask for a committer status on the
project. I really don't know if there's some obligations to fulfill
but I'm committed to handle this if necessary.

I'm looking for your answers.

Best regards,
