running /etc/sysconfig/olpc_scripts/domain_config says dhcpd needs to
have network_config and domain_config run first. Is this correct? Does
network_config need any params passed to it?

for domain_config I pass domain (say, sfsu.edu). I'm assuming this is correct?

OK.

It is. Impressive!

If you
1 - install the XS distro
 2 - run domain_config
 3 - restart

then ejabberd should be running.

In Soas you have to configure the jabber server manually (and
restart). Set it to 'schoolserver.'

Re: [Server-devel] New XS-0.6d2

2009-06-05 Thread tkkang
A very large team is to their Sichuan, China today. We managed to do some very
initial testing of the XS last weekend but unable to stress test it as we had
limited time and lack of APs.

A photo of trying to monitor memory usage here:

http://www.meet2learn.net/egallery/main.php?g2_itemId=886

I have asked the deployment to record their field experience and hopefully more
information will reveal in a few days time.

BTW is the XS already a ejabber server by default?

When I type ejabberdctl status I get this message:

Node ejabb...@schoolserver is started. Status: started
ejabberd is not running

I want to test XO and SoaS with various activities via a collaborative ejabber
server? I have an actual working domain for the purpose.

Have a good weekend.

[Server-devel] New XS-0.6d2

2009-06-02 Thread Martin Langhoff
Is being transferred to

  http://xs-dev.laptop.org/xs/other/OLPC-School-Server-0.6d2-i386.iso

The sha1sum is 7157cc3db259cea6242cb395217ff8af166c1626 -- it contains
various fixes to (minor) initial installation problems. With this
version, the 1-2-3 of install, domain_config & reboot just works.

It still reports itself to be '0.5.2' but that's wolf in sheep's clothing :-)

cheers,
