SD Convertible top replacement
Does anybody out there know what's involved in replacing a convertible top? I've got an early K-car with a weathered tattered top and I'd like to see what's involved in installing the new aftermarket top that I already have for it. I've got he factory shop manual but it doesn't mention anything about it. Are there any websites on it? I checked the local shops (even the mobile ones) and it's just too expensive for me right now. RE: SD Mopar Performance head bolt washers. 2 Sets?
To allow for proper torque by helping to spread the load and to allow the bolts to torque to the proper spec by creating a bit of a bearing surface for them to ride on. If you've torqued a bunch of these heads using parts store bolts and stock bolts and compare that feeling to the one you'll get from these bolts you'll know why they work so much better. The next best step up would be ARP head studs... SD RE SD what cars?
as far as i have seen it seems like ALL lebaron coupes and daytonas in 1989 weather turbo or not came with non vented rear disc brakes as standard equipment. of course the 89 daytona shelby, and 89 GTC had vented rear discs tho. i havent seen an 89 lebaron or daytona base non turbo without them and wearing rear drums in my salvage yards yet. tell tale sign its an 89 look for the old style square 80s looking dash and make sure its got an air bag. tho some late 88s came with the bag too. hope this helps mat ---REMOVE-FOOTER-WHEN-REPLYING Questions? SD Code 22 ssues
Code 22 is set when the charge temperature sensor is not within so many degrees (I think +-50) of the coolant temperature sensor. Check the resistance of both sensors at room temp (cold engine) to compare values. also check both weather pack connectors for good tight connections and there is no foreign material in the connectors (oil, water, etc) Also use Chrysler sensors because aftermarket sensors can be a little off. SD What's an ES bumper on a Shadow?
I am looking at replacing the bumper on an 87/88 CSX. On line I have found places that sell them but they specifially say, non-ES. On Positive Impressions' site, they talk about Shelby only bumpers.
