SD> Daytona C/S

2005-03-14 Thread brian pro
Does anyone have a website for info on the Daytona C/S?

I'm just curious about what years they were built, and how much they are
going for, what engine they have? That kind of stuff. . .

I'm thinking about buying one and want to know what to look for.

Thanks in advance,

BrianAugusta, GA

SD> FS: 87 GLHS in Augusta GA

2006-05-23 Thread brian pro
I am selling my '87 GLHS to make room for other projects. In short, it
runs well, is solid mechanically, needs paint/bodywork (driver's door
bumped in a parking lot incident, see pics), could use new tires, front
koni's could use a rebuild. Currently has 98k miles. I've driven it
very little and never raced it. Below is the original listing from the
seller I bought the car from. In addition to that list, I have a
complete Positive Impressions decal kit w/ Shelby window sticker. Extra
parts including Turbo XS BOV, spare taillights, spare Air Dam/Bumper
cover, interior/exterior panels, original block, and more that will go
with the car. $3000.

-87 GLHS for sale. New engine, balanced, ARP rod bolts, light
flywheel, all new turbo water and oil hoses, new radiator, new Indy
intercooler, new 2 piece intake, new fuel press regulator, axles rebuilt,
new intermediate shaft bearing and U joint, new A/C hoses and almost new
compressor and clutch, rebuilt minivan front brake calipers, rear discs,
new headliner, Infinity AM/FM/Cassette. most parts used were factory
Mopar.
Car has 79,000 miles. It needs paint and carpet. All Shelby stuff is
there.

Thanks,

Brian

SD> SC Rear Glass removal

2006-11-24 Thread brian pro
I am painting my '87 GLHS and want to fix a rust spot near the rear
window. How do I get the window out? Can one person do it, or do I need
to phone a friend??

Thanks,

Brian

Re: SD> SC Rear Glass removal

2006-11-25 Thread brian pro
Thanks to everyone who gave advice on removing the rear window. Here is
what I did:

  * Remove hatch and place on grass face down.

  * Spray soapy water around seal.

  * Use spackle blade to hold back seal in two places, starting at top
corner.

  * Use flat screwdriver to push the seal out, like removing a bike tire.

  * Work around edge with blade and screwdriver until entire top edge is
out.

  * Push gently on the window to help break the seal free from the hatch
as you go.

  * Once one corner and side is free, the window pretty much pops out.

So, that is what I did. It took around a half hour, including removing
the hatch.

Now, on to the prepping and painting!

Thanks,
