[Sikuli-driver] [Bug 1473631] [NEW] [1.1.0] addImagePath NoMethodError --- workaround: use ImagePath.add instead

2015-07-11 Thread RaiMan
Public bug reported:

I would like to use the addImagePath in a script.
When I run it I get the following error:
[error] script [ repository ] stopped with error in line 10
[error] NoMethodError ( (NoMethodError) undefined method `addImagePath' for
main:Object )
[error] --- Traceback --- error source first line: class ( method ) file 10:
RUBY ( (root) ) C:/sikuliscripts/FTAS/repository.sikuli [error] --- Traceback
--- end --

NoMethodError: undefined method `addImagePath' for main:Object (root) at
C:/sikuliscripts/FTAS/repository.sikuli:10

Code looks like:
#add path to the project
addImagePath('..//generic.sikuli')

I use Sikuli 1.1.0.
In the IDE I do see that the addImagePath turns green, so, I do expect it to be
valid.

Just for checking, I also tried the methode getImagePath, but here I get
the same error.

Question #269050 on Sikuli changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/269050

Status: Open = Answered

RaiMan proposed the following answer:
This is not directly related to Sikuli, since the problem is produced by
using the sikuliwrapper package.

This adds some visual logging features (saving screenshots somewhere).
38: sikuliwrapper ( click ) self.log.screenshot(msg=Region,
region=(self.getX(), self.getY(), self.getW(), self.getH()))

For the screenshot logging target folder you do not have sufficient
access rights at runtime.

2015-07-11 Thread Roman Podolyan
Question #268990 on Sikuli changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/268990

Roman Podolyan posted a new comment:
Sikuli can restrict image search to some Region, less than whole screen
— http://doc.sikuli.org/region.html , that is you may search in several
independent regions, so you may want to go into that topic.

But I don't get how you want to display multiple browsers on the screen
and switch between them. Once I wrote scripts that switched between,
say, XCode and SVN client, clicking on tasks icons in Mac OS X taskbar —
that was working with different applications, only one of which may be
present on screen in the any given moment (also Sikuli has some tools to
bring application front and back http://doc.sikuli.org/globals.html
#controlling-applications-and-their-windows , but I didn't use them at
that time).

So. If you want to restrict search to some less than whole screen part, use
Regions.
If you want to switch between several applications, you may write custom
switch by taskbar icons part.

As for saving images for later use, there is Capture —
http://doc.sikuli.org/screen.html#capturing
I never used it so far, but you can search for examples here on the Q A forum.

[Sikuli-driver] [Bug 1473615] Re: sikuli ide 1.0.1 wait(image, [secs]) does not work for value 1100 in seconds field

2015-07-11 Thread RaiMan
--- This only waits for around 3 seconds and then continues
if the script continues after a wait(), then something was found, since
otherwise the script would abort with a FindFailed exception, if you do not
wrap it with try/except or switch of FindFailed exceptions generally.

print wait(1436328275891.png,1100.0)

Re: [Sikuli-driver] [Question #268990]: Using a Screen other than the whole desktop

2015-07-11 Thread Dan
Question #268990 on Sikuli changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/268990

Dan gave more information on the question:
I want to have several overlapping browsers running. When something
changes in one, I want sikuli to bring it to the front and click some
images in it. The problem is, if a browser is not visible on the desktop
when it changes, sikuli will not sense the element being present.

A region seems to be just a subset of the desktop view. I want to use
selenium to grab a screenshot of the browser view, regardless whether or
not it is in front and visible on the desktop, and use sikuli to detect
if an image is present in it. I can get the screenshot of the browser
view in a BufferedImage format from selenium. Can I create a screen or a
region using that that sikuli can then check?
