Hi silver listers! Lately, I find myself very pressed for time. And
I've been spending over two hours a night just getting through my
emails. But, before leaving, I want to thank you all for putting up
with all my dumb questions and for taking the time to answer my all my
dumb questions. THANK YOU and BEST WISHES TO YOU ALL! Joe G.
(P.S. If things lighten up, you'll probably be hearing from me again
on this list.)

Hi Marsha,

That is great to hear. What Parts Per Million do you use? Do you make your
own? Suggest any machines one can buy? Do you take it daily? How much do
you take? Do you not normally take it orally...do you take it with a
neublizer sometimes? How long have you been taking it?

also, with the asthma did you notice you where more short of breath in a warm
environment and could breath easier in a fairly cool environment? Did you
also notice that drinking lots of water...especially cool water helped you to
be able to breath easier? Did you also notice that if it was kind of warm in
your house etc. and you were talking for a while you would get quite out of
breath?

thanks so much,

Christy

   Karen

Dear Christy and Karen, I used to be asthmatic, mainly it was allergic
reactions. Since good old CS came into my life, I no longer get attacks,
just a few wheezes occasionally. When that happens, I take more CS by mouth,
and it goes away. One can also put it up the nose using an empty saline
 spritzer.
 I love this stuff!
My current eye infection is nearly gone, after two doses of CS in the eye.

Dear Christy, Hi!
I was told that CS, made by the directions I send out, comes to 18 PPM, by a
fellow on the Silverlist who was able to measure it. Yes, I make my own, and
have never bought any. I take a swallow once a day as a preventive, and if
something strong comes along, I up it to 3 big swallows a day. I also use it
externally, and in my eyes. I`ve been taking CS off and on for 4 years come
May. I haven`t used a nebulizer, don`t have one. My sister, who has MS,
insulin-dependant diabetes, and lung disease from second-hand smoke and
chemicals at work, and is now totally disabled at age 58, won`t even try CS,
even though I sing its praises. A prophet in his homeland, I suppose... So,
the silly goose suffers. So be it.
I never noticed anything about temperature with my asthma. Usually something
would make me sneeze, then the wheezies would start. That is why I gave away
my gorgeous Turkish Angora cat, sob...Thank Goodness my Puggies don`t get to
me! Couldn`t live without them.
 I hope this helps!

CSpregnancy and CS

2000-04-19 Thread Fred

I am trying to get pregnant. Has anyone ever taken or know of any reason why
I should not take CS if I am trying to conceive or if I do get pregnant. I
take it now for a low immune system and I would really like to keep on taking
it. It cured my acute bronchitis without my regular high dose of antibiotics.

Thanks,
Diane

Check the wonderful story on my site where a customer, who
had been baron for years, not only got pregnant after using Cs
but also found a doctor who suggested she continue the use!

She got a little long winded, so not pasting it here!

Re: CSHanna Meters - sorry!

2000-04-19 Thread Fred

Nice analysis Bob (Tai-Pan) BUT I have to disagree (unless you
have a different TDS-1 then I) - The manual from Hanna mentions
they do not have a standard solution for the Ultra pure (UPW) unit,
so they use a calibrate resistor, so I checked the TDS and PWT and
they both read, per Hanna correctly, with the calibrate resistors
suggested 100K = 10uS (4.3 mg/L of NaCl)! At 1uS they say 1Meg
ohm (0.4mg/L of NaCl).

That implies a conductivity measurement, there being no outside
source of voltage in MY resistor! My digital meter only reads to
0.1mv, and I see no voltage on the resistor (or open circuit), so they
must be using 100uvolts or less! Can you measure below that range?

You had me going for a while with some great ideas, but damn,
blown out of the water (Cs) again!

The gain here is that you can calibrate your PWT with a 1% resistor
(5 cents at Radio Shack), using uS/cm = 1Million/ohms resistance
(I Meg=1uS, 100K=10uS, etc.) - which we all knew (conductivity is
reciprocal of resistivity) but never thought of using as a meter
calibration (I actually bought a case of 84uS NaCl test sol last year)!

Bob Lee said:
snip No electric voltage (potential) or ac signal is at the TDS-1 probes.
I have measured them and found nothing. The ionic potential of the water
and whats in it provides the voltage which causes a current to flow in
the input bridge. The bridge is very high imdedance and only a very
small micro current (microvoltage) in needed to cause current flow in
the bridge circuit. Well, where do we get this from in the CS?. Any time
we disassociate ions from atoms (electrons) we have a potential
(voltage) no matter how small. In a battery we disassociate them at a
fast enough rate to get a large current flow. When we don`t the battery
will be dead. The ions (electrons) will flow around the circuit trying
to equalize the potential caused by disassociation. Even in the CS we
have disassociation taking place (if we didn`t there wouldn`t be any
ions) and the small micro potential in the CS will cause a current
(microcurrent) to flow in the TDS-1 bridge.snip

Re: CSallergic reactions

2000-04-19 Thread M. G. Devour
 Listers,
I have a client who is having what appears to be
allergic reactions to almost any amount of CS, no
matter how small. Has anyone experienced anything like
this? This client is a health-conscious person who
appears to be in good health. Could a tiny amount of
CS really provoke that serious of a herx reaction
(rash, puffed-up face, etc.)? I would appreciate
 feed-back.

 Terry Wayne

Terry,

We had one other incident a year or so back where a list member
reacted very quickly and strongly to her first dose of home-made CS.
She had all the classic symptoms of allergic reaction -- rapid
heartbeat, shortness of breath, low blood pressure (dizziness and
tunnel vision), etc... Scared the heck out of her. She had taken
only a couple of tablespoonfuls.

What was really wierd, though, was that she had previously been
taking a commercial CS preparation without difficulties.
Unfortunately, she didn't have any of the other stuff left, so we
couldn't get it analysed. Thus it was impossible to know what really
happened.

Her doctor told her she was allergic to the silver. Needless to say,
she stopped taking it. She was quite disappointed.

I generally suggest a small initial dose to test for any sort of
adverse reaction before ramping up to effective amounts.

What you're describing sounds like a toxic or allergic reaction,
rather than a herx. Proceed with caution.

Be well,

Mike Devour

Hi Terry,

I have heard of but not seen any data on allergy to silver.

One friend reported knowing a jewler whose hands cracked and became rough
when handling silver. This was probably not .999 fine silver, but an
alloy.

Has an MD looked at the rash? If it is a Herx, it should subside once the
causative organism is eliminated.
