That's the way I read it also. Not surprising really as Mercury melts at -38degC, but amalgam is solid. Ivan -Original Message- From: Marshall Dudley [mailto:mdud...@execonn.com] I think I just figured out the 10-8. They mean 10^-8 (10 raised to the -8 power), or .0001. That is much lower than the vapor pressure of mercury at that temperature alone, so apparently the silver lowers the vapor pressure of the mercury significantly (this is similar to adding salt to water will raise the boiling point by lowering it's vapor pressure as well). RE: CSFw: HEALlix Newsletter Vol 15
I don't think that is correct. Fulvic acid (a type of humic acid) is a very powerful solvent and clathrating (chelating) substance. It surrounds and transports mineral ions, not colloids. I have reservations about ingesting fulvic acid, as it has been implicated in serious disease, from liver to bone. There are thousands of different FAs, depending upon the ground in which they are found. Some are likely to be beneficial, but how can one tell. I have written of my FA concerns in the past on this list and on the Yahoo list. Re: CSHome Distilled Water Purity
I bought a used distiller from Ebay a few months ago. Since I dont own a PWT, I cant test my home distilled water for absolute conductivity, but I keep track of relative conductivity between batches by recording starting current (keeping all other variables the same). The starting current for batches made with my home distilled water isnt up to the same quality as the best store-bought DW, but Ive found that I can increase the quality of my home distilled water with a simple trick. My 10 year old Sear/Ecowater still only shuts off after the tank is completely dry. I speculated that some of the crap that remains behind early in the stills cycle winds up being carried along with the last little bit of water boiling in the still. I wanted to have my still shut off while there was about an inch of water left in the heating chamber. I use a common household lamp timer to do this. I monitored the stills cycle and determined that my still takes about 5 hours to process one gallon of tap water into DW. I set the lamp timer to turn on for 4 hours, then plug the still into the timer. I rotate the timer to the beginning of the on cycle (not necessary to set it to correct time of day) and the current to the still is automatically cut after 4 hours, leaving the last inch of water in the heating chamber. I just have to remember to come back within 24 hours and unplug the still from the timer, or else the still will switch on again. I have found that but doing this, my starting current (all other variables being equal) is about 30% lower than it is when making CS with DW made by letting the still run completely dry. And I dont need to clean scale from the still as frequently. Hope this helps someone. __ Do you Yahoo!? Y! CSFw: Paul McCartney + Measure 27: The Movie!
News Update From The Campaign to Label Genetically Engineered Foods -- Dear News Update Subscribers, Great news! Legendary musician Paul McCartney has endorsed Oregon's Measure 27 to require labeling on genetically engineered foods. He has even recorded a radio spot promoting the Yes on Measure 27 effort. You can hear the actual 30 second commercial featuring Paul McCartney if you have the Real Audio Player on your computer by going to the following link: http://www.voteyeson27.com/yeson27PAUL.rm If you would like to read the Press Release about Paul McCartney's endorsement and radio ad, go to: http://www.voteyeson27.com/mccartney.htm MEASURE 27: THE MOVIE! Friends of the Earth has facilitated the production of an entertaining and informative flash video about Oregon Measure 27. After you watch the flash movie, you can use the form on the same web page to send a suggestion to your friends to also watch the video. To watch the video, go to: http://www.voteyeson27.com/flash/index.html After you watch the flash video, you can send an instant e-mail out to eight of your friends inviting them to check out the flash film. This process is automated so you can quickly send out a second group of eight e-mails, and a third, and so on, until you let all your friends and family know about the online flash video. Naturally, voters who live in Oregon are by far the most important individuals to contact. But people throughout the United States and in other countries may be interesting in seeing the flash video about Measure 27. Let's see how many people we can get to watch the flash video. And these same folks may want to hear the Paul McCartney radio endorsement. Posted below are five articles about Oregon Measure 27. The first article is from Oregon Public Broadcasting Radio titled Measure 27 Gets Backed by A Beatle. The second article is an editorial from the University of Oregon Daily Emerald Newspaper endorsing Measure 27. The third article is from The Oregonian titled Measure 27's estimated cost varies widely. The fourth article is from the Statesman Journal titled Altered food labels a contentious measure and the last article is from Associated Press titled Food labels could reflect genetically altered crops. He's recorded the group's first radio commercial, which started airing Thursday. McCartney's on a cell phone and the sound is kind of scratchy, but Measure 27's supporters are very excited to have the former Beatle on their side. Paul McCartney: Hi, this is Paul McCartney here and I'm calling to show my support for Yes on 27 the resolution to label genetically engineered food. McCartney was in Portland last week for a concert. He contacted some Measure 27 supporters who asked him to record the radio commercial. Paul McCartney: Back in Europe we have that choice. Our food is labeled and it hasn't increased any costs for the consumer or the farmer The ad will run on radio stations throughout the state, but backers say not as often as their opponents' ads are airing. Those opposed to Measure 27 have a lot more money. Backers also received a boost from an Oregon State University report that analyzed the cost of the measure. OSU Economics Professor Bill Jaeger concluded that opponents' had severely overestimated how much Measure 27 would cost the government and consumers. Bill Jaeger: I think they're highly exaggerated and I don't think they come from, what I would consider to be an authoritative or carefully done economic analysis. Jaeger found a family of four would spend between 12 and 40 dollars a year more on food if the measure passes. That's much less than the 550 dollars a year Measure 27's opponents estimate. While opponents were not available to comment on tape, they did say Jaeger's estimates are lower because he's interpreting the language in the measure too narrowly. They contend the measure's language is so broad that the labeling requirement would apply to things the sponsors never intended such as restaurant food. Jaeger admits the language in Measure 27 is vague on some issues including the restaurant question. One of Measure 27's sponsors, Katelyn Lord, says the proposal
CSfw: millions infected with SV40 cancer virus from vaccines
Date: 24 Oct 2002 16:19:13 -0500 From: jcummins jcumm...@uwo.ca Subject: millions infected with SV40 cancer virus from vaccines We are far too slow in acknowedging that SV40 causes cancer in humans. Science Oct 25 2002: 725-727 Creeping Consensus on SV40 and Polio Vaccine Dan Ferber At first it seemed impossible: The widely celebrated polio vaccine that was given to millions of people in the 1950s was contaminated with a monkey virus--a virus that causes cancer in animals. Since the virus was discovered in the monkey kidney extracts used to make the Salk vaccine some 40 years ago, concern has risen that the vaccine, which wiped out polio in the United States, might have triggered an epidemic of cancer (Science, 10 May, p. 1012). Now, at the request of the U.S. Congress, an expert panel of the Institute of Medicine (IOM) has issued the most definitive judgment to date, allaying most--but not all--of those fears. The virus, known as SV40, has not caused a wave of cancer, the panel concluded. But it might be causing some rare cancers, and more research is needed to find out. Since the contamination was detected, government researchers and others have published epidemiological studies that they said proved that the vaccine was safe. But questions remained, because the virus kept turning cultured cells cancerous, and it kept causing tumors in animals. That debate heated up in the past decade, after researchers began finding SV40 DNA in four types of rare human cancers--the same kinds it causes in animals--and press reports emphasized that tens of millions of people could have been exposed. The IOM committee examined the 4 decades of epidemiology to see whether people exposed to SV40-contaminated vaccine have a higher risk of cancer. Although the studies were flawed, the panel concluded, they were good enough to show that no cancer epidemic has occurred. But millions of people might have been infected with SV40 from the contaminated vaccine, the panel wrote. And the evidence is strong enough to suggest, but not prove, that the virus can sometimes cause human cancer. We acknowledge that SV40 at least could have a carcinogenic effect, but epidemiological evidence does not suggest that it actually did, says IOM committee member Steven Goodman, a biostatistician at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore. Even so, he adds, there's a body of evidence [on SV40 carcinogenicity] that has to be taken quite seriously. The committee stressed the need for more reliable and sensitive tests to detect SV40 in human tissue, especially tests for anti-SV40 antibodies in human blood. Once those tests are devised, researchers could test human tissue samples from before 1955 for the monkey virus to ascertain whether it really came from contaminated polio vaccine. In addition, the panel said, there's enough evidence that the virus is spreading in humans that the issue should be studied further. But overall, the IOM report really closes the book on the discussion of past epidemiological work, says pediatric oncologist Robert Garcea of the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. Although SV40 might yet turn out to cause cancer in humans, the risk, if any, is not remotely in the ballpark of well-known carcinogens such as tobacco smoke or asbestos, adds Goodman. The report seems to have satisfied protagonists across the spectrum, although they're drawing different conclusions. One reason, Goodman explains, is that IOM took extraordinary precautions to prevent conflicts of interest, excluding anyone who had ever sat on a government vaccine panel or received money from government or industry for vaccine research. Virologist Janet Butel of Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, is gratified that they recognized the biological evidence implicating SV40 in cancer. Keerti Shah of Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, a long-time skeptic, calls the report a positive step, although he'll need better assays before concluding that SV40 is indeed present in humans. If the National Institutes of Health follows the panel's suggestions, more money should soon be available to probe the link. -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver. RE: CSHome Distilled Water Purity
To those who buy their distilled water and test it before brewing cs, how pure is it? Highly variable. The best I ever tried was Arrowhead. That did not register any PPM or mS with my Sprite 6000, that reads to tenths. Depending on your process, there is an optimum conductivity above completely pure water. I adjust mine with tap water to be 1.5 mS or, about 0.8 PPM. Those who cannot acquire a reasonably precise meter---mine is just adequate, I would like to be able to read hundredths---may try calling a local bottle water service and asking them if you can bring by a sample ; they may test it for you with their meter. I have done that in the past and they seemed interested in doing it so they could see the quality of their competition's water. Re: CSHome Distilled Water Purity
Hi Paul, We use an old Barnstead still. Makes a gallon an hour and it always reads about 1.5 uS on a PWT. Much of the store water also comes in under 2.0. Never saw any over that. Home distillers are problematic because they aren't made to give you pure water, just pretty good water. They usually boil too hard and entrain minerals that come over the helm. If you have a variac, you can try lowering the voltage to the still and that will help. Be aware that the process will take longer at lower voltage. If your unit is a low wattage one you may be abele to use a lamp dimmer to cut down on the power. It doesn't reduce the voltage but does reduce the on time versus off time so in effect you get less power to the item controlled by it. CSCure for infections???
Hi! I am new to this list. How are you all doing. I am just curious, I did a little research into Wayne Green (Founder of Byte magizine.) and Bob Beck (Inventer of the flash strobe) and they are pretty well respected guys from what I have read. Now, they push the blood electrifier as something that works (no not the Hulda clark zapper, which they say does not work), which in 1990, Dr Kaali applied a current to a dish filled with the HIV virus, causing it to not be able to attach to a normal human cell. Now, there was a patent number from one of the articles, and I did some research in the US patent office. Sure enough, the patent 5,139,684 does exist, and it goes on to talk about killing a lot of infection past the contact point. 1. Is this patent legit? 2. Ok, so it works for HIV. What about Lyme Disease? 3. If it kills Lyme and other infections past the contact point, how long will it take a Bob Beck units to really kill of these infections out of a human body? Including Lyme? I have a Beck Zapper, and a Beck Pulser. And I have Lyme. How long do I have to use it before I am cleared of Lyme? And are there people out there that are curing themselfs of infections diseases out there? Or is this just another health hoax? Should I bother to use these units? Or should I put them into the trash? Thank you for your time. -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver. My understanding is that the TDS (total DISSOLVED solids) will not measure the colloidal particles as they are suspended not DISSOLVED but will measure the ion content. The PWT measures conductivity which would include colloids and ions. thanks for some understanding on the tds/pwt meters but, once again the newbie needs some advice... i posted this on another cs board, but as of yet i've had no response, so i'd like to pose it here too: about 2 months ago we purchased the cs300 to produce our own cs, but soon found out that making 8oz. at a time was too time consuming, esp. when we were using large quantities ourselves, and giving it away to family and friends by the gallon (great reports by the way)... anyway, within a month i knew our needs far exceeded this small unit's output unless i was to spend every minute brewing cs... so, a month ago we purchased a cspro to make a gallon at a time... this has been wonderful, and out of my first 5 gallons, i've given 3 of them away... today i went to brew another gallon for ourselves (the 6th) and i noticed that the rods were not looking the same as with the first 5 gals lots more of the dark stuff, none of the 'smokey' silver in the water, etc... i realize the 'tds' meter doesn't register the true ppm, but i do use it as a comparison guage, and was getting a reading of 000 to 001 after 15 mins now 15 mins. would normally bring me a brew of 10 or better... anyway, here's my question(s): how many gallons should i be getting from .999 silver 12 guage wire? is the wire solid silver or overlay, and when the coating is gone, does the black flaky stuff appear? in cases such as this do i brew it longer, or do i just replace the silver rods? i was thinking i could supply everyone with tons of cs, with such a minimal cost (and i guess it still is, considering a gal. goes for about $75.-$100.)... this new generator is so great, but i did think i'd get more than 5-6 gallons from one set of silver rods... please give me some indications as to what 'normal' is where the lifespan of the silver rods are concerned, as i certainly don't want to be throwing them out if there is still life in them... but, i don't want to brewing stuff for 45 min. just to get the ppm up either... i know that i must certainly invest in a 'pwt' meter, and will do so as soon as i can come up with the funds... you're input is greatly appreciated as always... in advance, thanks! deb

RE: CSTDS/PWT meters
Paul has led you astray a bit in his answer :-) Both the TDS (total dissolved solids) meter and the PWT (pure water tester) are conductivity meters. The difference is in the scale and calibration. A TDS meter is calibrated to convert the conductivity reading (micro-Siemens uS) to reflect the amount of dissolved calcium carbonate (in most cases) that would give rise to the conductivity measured. This calibration is about 1ppm TDS to 2uS for CaCO3. That would be fine if one could just multiply the ppm TDS x 2 to get the equivalent conductivity reading in uS, however, most TDS meters have a scale 000 - 999 ppm TDS, and generally have a error of 2% of the full scale reading. The error is therefore +/- 20ppm TDS or a range of 80uS, obviously too high if one is measuring a 10ppm CS solution which will have a conductivity reading of about 8uS. The PWT scale is much more suitable, being 00.0 - 99.0 and the readout is in uS. The error is +/- 2uS or a range of 4uS. Hi Kevin, Others have suggested appropriate action regarding CS, so I thought to suggest supplementary steps to aid you in your battle. May I suggest you purchase some Beta Glucan, capsules or powder. Beta Glucan will increase the numbers and efficiency of certain members of your immune systems cells, particularly the macrophages, which are the immune cells which neutralise and dispose of microbes and toxins, and dying or mutated cells. A Beta Glucan potentiated immune system is able to cut through the disguises that certain pathogens and cancers are cloaked in, and Beta Glucan will improve the effectiveness of other treatments. A maintenance does of 100mg per day (on an empty stomach), and therapeutic dose of 300 - 500mg beta glucan should be accompanied by double the amount of Vitamin C as the two work synergistically. RE: CSBeta Glucan
Hi Paul, There is not as big a difference as the various manufacturers would have you believe. BG can be and is made from various raw products, mushrooms (maitake, shitake), oats, yeast (bakers, brewers), and so on, each has its proponents and detractors. But as long as the Beta 1,3 Glucan fraction is 60% or so then the product will be good. Other fractions are found in different concentrations depending on the source, yeast has Beta 1,6 Glucan for instance. Yeast derived Beta Glucan is the easiest to produce and has the highest Beta 1,3 fraction and can be found purified to greater than 90%, although it seems that products with lesser purity can actually promote a greater immune expression. I am happy with 70+ % Beta 1,3 Glucan. A product produced from yeast is probably the best bet for a decent BG content and a reasonable price. Some products may elicit a slighter higher response by being micronised to a very small size (0.2 micron), and some is soluble and suitable for IV injection (but is expensive). Fortunately both the soluble and particulate Beta Glucan is absorbed in the gut. Best taken on an empty stomach 30 mins before food and the action is enhanced by Vitamin C. The immune response to Beta Glucan seems to be a vestige of cellular development, given that both animals and plants display an immune response to its presence. It has uses as an additive to animal and fish feed, (not to be confused with the bacterial derived Beta Glucan which is inert as used as a food filler) and is proved for instance to prevent to a high percentage of infection in farmed fish. Must be good for pets and maybe the roses. As for brands... because I buy in bulk (kgs) I can't really help you, but hopefully you now have enough info to make a decision. Email me if you need more help. Hello, I am very sick with CS right now as evidenced by sleeping/being in a coma for 4 days then slowly coming out of it and having , paradoxically, 1 day where I can walk for 30 mins and feel 'OK' for 24-36 hours. I have VERY LONG TERM SEVERE LYME IN EVERY PART OF MY BODY so I don't expect miracles, that would be stupid. What should I do ? Stop all together - it's tempting to be less sick than this sick, it's frightening. I believe that the CS is releasing way too much of the powerful acidic toxins that the LD spirochete known to produce and which cause all of the symptoms (exhuation, mental symptoms, weakness, and God knows what else ...). I can see and smell it in my urine etc (sorry about explicit details). How some people can take 8 oz a day is beyond me. Any advice on dosage - I'm thinking of stopping all together, this just isn't worth it, it's worsr than cancer therapy and I've seen that first hand. At least those people died quickly.
