Re: CS>cs:re cataracts

2005-04-10 Thread sol
Thanks, that was interesting reading. One thing not mentioned there is
the connection between consumption of dairy products and cataracts.

>Five: Cataracts Cataracts are also linked to dairy products. The
galactose that is a breakdown product of lactose also >appears to damage
the lens of the eye, leading to cataracts. There are other factors which
also contribute to cataracts, such as >ultraviolet light.
Phooey, I forgot to copy the link to that paragraph before I closed the
site, but a google will turn up lots of info re cataracts and dairy.
In my own case, a few years ago I had the beginnings of a cataract, and
the only thing I did was to eliminate (for a whole year) all dairy
products, and particularly the enzyme product sold for lactose
intolerance, of which I was a heavy user. Next eye exam, no cataract at
all. Since then I am once again eating dairy, but never touch the
alpha-galactose enzyme product, and still no signs of the beginning
cataract recurring. I'm not any longer lactose intolerant either though.

I should have said homeopathic tinctures can be hard to find. I am
unclear if a homeopathic tincture is different from an herbal tincture,
but I do think they are different.

How's that for speaking one's mind?
If we have the guts to investigate sayings by the BIG ones, then we'd
probably also and amongst other things know that a treatment, resulting in
the cure of cancer (even pap 5) was already known by the Indians in the
Amazon region {[(AND by the FDA)]}.
BUT: the BIG ones kept it a secret for more than 30 years, until one
forum like ours published the results of research by a handful of less
rigid, limitid go-for-bigmoney-boys medics. That may be a turning point.
BUT: Far too many of us are still the mouthless sheepishly yesdoc nodoc

Alas! It takes hair on one's balls (as they say in Surinam) to stand up
